Default Finished First Week!

Today I finished my first week doing Atkins!
My starting weight was 226 pounds. Now I'm down to 222 pounds.
I've lost 1" off my waist. 2" off of both my hips and chest.
I never really exercised before starting Atkins but I have been able to
pull off 6 days of exercise (treadmill and free-weights) in the last 7
days. I took today off from exercising and feel bad about it too.
Amazingly enough I weighed 221 yesterday night, so I guess I better stick
with the exercising.
Unlike the books ideal, my cravings did not go away and my energy did not
pick up until after the 5th day. Guess I was too much of a carb junky
before.

Do these figures seem typical with y'alls results for the first week?

Thanks.

and yes, I do know that the first few pounds of weight loss is water.

Way to go David on finishing your 1st week ! your results sound great
to me.. and the fact that you've incorporated some exercise is
fantastic !

Keep up the good work and that downward trend should hold true.
Don't forget to drink plenty of water .. especially to recover after
the exercise.

They were very similar to my results... I did have the 3rd day
headache though.. and I find my energy didnt get a big boost until
around the 7th day.

One thing I'd like to add here.. and you've probably heard it before..
please don't be discouraged if around the 3-4th week things tend to
stall on the scale. It seems typical from what all I've read here on
the group. Knowing about it before hand.. seems to make it easier to
stay on track and get thru it. Of course.. as in all things with your
body/diet and exercise.. YMMV.

Looking forward to hearing many great things from you

Hi David,
Isn't is wonderful to have that first full week behind you?!! And with
terrific results too! You are really going for it with the exercise as
well. I just finished my 4th week, and did stall abit around the 3rd
week. However, since this is now my way of eating, each day I start
anew and obsessing is not allowed! Keep up the good work!
