I will have to admit that I did finally get through. And the only
time I was placed on hold was when I asked CUSTOMER Support (get my
disc ID confirmed) about the Technical Issue that I needed that ID
for. He placed me on hold to ask Tech Supp the quickie since
otherwise it costs $35.00. He said they are aware of the Partition
Problem and working on a fix or patch.

I would imagine with all the problems I've read about, they are making
a killing on that $35.00 fee per call!!!!!!!!!

He was pleasant and helpful as far as he could go.

Toronto, Canada (Brenda can you translate (G)). Funny, I called an
hour after they OPEN. The answering system said to call back when
they are open. Yeah, like two minutes three times a day but once a
week on alternate Sundays!!! When logging to their web site, it will
not accept the ID that is on the disk - INVALID. How very convenient.
They are not open and you can't post to their site with the id which
is invalid.


LOL! I had a similar call Tuesday morning, when phoning for warranty
authorization on my sons car. The company opened at 8AM, I called at 8:01 and
received the voice system saying to call back during business hours. Hung up and
redialed right away, this time being told that all lines were busy and the first
available rep would be with me as soon as possible. Geeeeesh, do they only have
one line .. how did they fill up in less than a minute? And I love calling
computer tech support and being told I can find my answers to my problems on their
website. Well dang, if I had computer access would I even be calling? G


Very good point about not having computer access to fix the computer
problem on the web. I will give Roxio a call again in a bit. They
should now be open for almost two hours. When I finally do get
through I suspect that I will be on hold for a long time. I've also
had that call early and they have not taken it off "night" message.
Call back and miss the queue!!!

Yes, today was about 50F and it felt okay as I walked to lunch. Upon
leaving the restaurant it was blowing and raining for my 10 block walk
back - yuck


I ran out to sons car in pj's this morning, needed the mileage to get verification
for some needed warranty work. I swear it felt balmy at 8AM - gray and damp, but
warm. By 9:30 it was blowing like the devil again, and went right through you -
icy chill but temps said 35. Afternoon was 30, but very frigid - I was happy to
get back home where it was reasonably warm.


Maybe some sun here today and tomorrow but then a freeziing level UP
for the weekend with rain instead of snow UP there.


It was 54 and perfect yesterday (thurs) Today the clouds are moving
in and rain for the first half of the weekend.

Was sunny here today and did feel a bit warmer ... ah, that lack of wind is a
fooler. Temp was actually colder than it has been, was in the mid 20's today.
Guess a bit of sunlight and lack of wind changes our perception of temperature.

Hye, tonight's was excellent - I used scallops instead and bit more
lime and tequila (G)


I guess I'm going to have to break down and buy a bottle of tequilla, huh? Then
find a way to keep my kids out of it. G Wonder if you can buy those small
airline size bottles, would be perfect for this recipe. I love scallops, will
probably try the recipe using them.


Our state liquor stores do sell smaller bottles of some things.


I did buy a small bottle today, probably won't be enough left over to worry about
the kids getting into. G And the man at the liquor store says that is the main
reason he stocks the mini-bottles ... many people in buying them for baking and
cooking, that don't want an entire large bottle of something they don't use often.
Wonder why I never thought of it before!


Nor much to just sample either (G) I still have two more limes and
lots of tequila.

Yesterday's leftover half sweet potato is for tomorrow.

Now how do you save half a sweet potato? I manage to eat the entire thing, too
good to put any away. G Maybe I'm buying smaller ones? I will admit though,
that lately I have been purchasing huge baking potatoes - hub and I split them and
are more than enough for both of us.

Well, it was the evening after the work luncheon bash and I decided to
cut back a bit. No snacks that night either. I did have a skinny cow
last night before today's WI! (G)


I am beginning to swear that the later snacking does show on the scale - probably
not a *real* gain or loss ... but temporarily, it is there. I haven't snacked on
anything in the evenings the past few nights, other than a little bit of fruit.

was amazed that it showed me at where I was right around thanksgiving time.

Well, I had the tequila, lime and shrimp to give this a try. Had the shrimp for
dinner tonite, forgot all about the tequila and lime. LOL! I was in a hurry, just
cut up a bunch of veggies and tossed them in a pan (zucchini, green and yellow
peppers, onion, mushrooms, tomatoes, carrots, bean sprouts) and cooked until
tender ... threw the shrimp in a steamer to heat (they were pre-cooked) and called
it dinner. Hub and I killed dang near all of it off, we were starving since we
hadn't eaten since breakfast and all THAT consisted of was a bowl of mixed fruit
that was leftover from breakfast yesterday. So dinner portion was really pretty
heavy and far from normal, but also probably very low in points anyway.

Yesterday's leftover half sweet potato is for tomorrow.

Now how do you save half a sweet potato? I manage to eat the entire thing, too
good to put any away. G Maybe I'm buying smaller ones? I will admit though,

yesterday or today - not worried, just no time to run nekid to the basement. G
And once again I know salt is playing havoc with me. Pizza Wednesday night was
terribly salty (had to stop at a convenience store on the way home to get
something to drink - hubby felt the same way) and Christmas Day's ham was also
heavy salt. I need to start pushing that water again.

Ahhhhh, that's another one of my big gripes with customer service/technical
support now. Why the heck should we have to pay for the pleasure of being able to
get their product running properly?

Yup, that is pretty damn irritating and folks have been complaining
because the advice is the same script they give everyone. Uninstall,
oh, you did that, well then reformat the harddisk and reinstall the
operating system that will be $100.00, please..... (interrupted by the
tea kettle whistling and then an entire SKI TRIP (G))

Home again, now. Great trip so who cares about computer woes for
another 10 minutes while the bathroom heats up......

Well, then just drink the stuff (G) I may give that a whirl again
tonight as I had sushi last night and I have a baked potato (white)
left over from about 3 nights ago. Soped in tequila/lime juice will
be okay. Today was pretty light kind of - granola and milk and flax
oil and sardines for breakfast. A peanut butter/jelly sandwich and
some brazil nuts for a very chilly lunch and then some dried cheese
and some dried pineapple. All that for 11 miles of skiing up 2,200
feet in 20-25F temps.

Oh yeah, and it's always wonderful to be charged by the minute while they have you
climbing underneath the desk trying to change connections that you have already
changed - but they insist you have to do it again or they can't go on to the next
possible step. Definitely reading straight from a book.

Glad you had a wonderful ski trip! Once again, I got no formal exercise in today
.... other than frequent trips up and down the basement stairs doing laundry.

but with no official response from them. If I have time tomorrow
before WW, I may try sitting on hold for a while. But from what I
gather, they will not do much. They will probably say it was
something odd that Dell did to set up the partition altho, others with
Linux partitions and other operating systems are having similar
problems.

Funny how they are always able to blame it on someone/something else, seems to be
standard practice for all problems now. Will be interesting to see what they say
causes the problem, can't be the program itself because the name says it's EASY.

It would be interesting to hear what they say and today I called
Toronto, Canada (Brenda can you translate (G)). Funny, I called an
hour after they OPEN. The answering system said to call back when
they are open. Yeah, like two minutes three times a day but once a
week on alternate Sundays!!! When logging to their web site, it will
not accept the ID that is on the disk - INVALID. How very convenient.
They are not open and you can't post to their site with the id which
is invalid.

LOL! I had a similar call Tuesday morning, when phoning for warranty
authorization on my sons car. The company opened at 8AM, I called at 8:01 and
received the voice system saying to call back during business hours. Hung up and
redialed right away, this time being told that all lines were busy and the first
available rep would be with me as soon as possible. Geeeeesh, do they only have
one line .. how did they fill up in less than a minute? And I love calling
computer tech support and being told I can find my answers to my problems on their
website. Well dang, if I had computer access would I even be calling? G

Very good point about not having computer access to fix the computer
problem on the web. I will give Roxio a call again in a bit. They
should now be open for almost two hours. When I finally do get
through I suspect that I will be on hold for a long time. I've also
had that call early and they have not taken it off "night" message.

Yes, today was about 50F and it felt okay as I walked to lunch. Upon
leaving the restaurant it was blowing and raining for my 10 block walk
back - yuck

I ran out to sons car in pj's this morning, needed the mileage to get verification
for some needed warranty work. I swear it felt balmy at 8AM - gray and damp, but
warm. By 9:30 it was blowing like the devil again, and went right through you -
icy chill but temps said 35. Afternoon was 30, but very frigid - I was happy to
get back home where it was reasonably warm.

Maybe some sun here today and tomorrow but then a freeziing level UP
for the weekend with rain instead of snow UP there.

It was 54 and perfect yesterday (thurs) Today the clouds are moving
in and rain for the first half of the weekend.

Was sunny here today and did feel a bit warmer ... ah, that lack of wind is a
fooler. Temp was actually colder than it has been, was in the mid 20's today.
Guess a bit of sunlight and lack of wind changes our perception of temperature.

Hye, tonight's was excellent - I used scallops instead and bit more
lime and tequila (G)

I guess I'm going to have to break down and buy a bottle of tequilla, huh? Then
find a way to keep my kids out of it. G Wonder if you can buy those small
airline size bottles, would be perfect for this recipe. I love scallops, will
probably try the recipe using them.

Our state liquor stores do sell smaller bottles of some things.

I did buy a small bottle today, probably won't be enough left over to worry about
the kids getting into. G And the man at the liquor store says that is the main
reason he stocks the mini-bottles ... many people in buying them for baking and
cooking, that don't want an entire large bottle of something they don't use often.
Wonder why I never thought of it before!

Nor much to just sample either (G) I still have two more limes and
lots of tequila.

Yesterday's leftover half sweet potato is for tomorrow.

Now how do you save half a sweet potato? I manage to eat the entire thing, too
good to put any away. G Maybe I'm buying smaller ones? I will admit though,
that lately I have been purchasing huge baking potatoes - hub and I split them and
are more than enough for both of us.

Well, it was the evening after the work luncheon bash and I decided to
cut back a bit. No snacks that night either. I did have a skinny cow
last night before today's WI! (G)

I am beginning to swear that the later snacking does show on the scale - probably
not a *real* gain or loss ... but temporarily, it is there. I haven't snacked on
anything in the evenings the past few nights, other than a little bit of fruit.
Stepped on the scale this morning (while gritting what is left of my teeth) and
was amazed that it showed me at where I was right around thanksgiving time.

Well, yesterday the scale at home saw its lowest value yet - 155.5 but
I don't understand it at all. As it was down 2.5 from the day before.
Oh, well. No WI for two weeks - well, no OFFICIAL WI.

Well, I had the tequila, lime and shrimp to give this a try. Had the shrimp for
dinner tonite, forgot all about the tequila and lime. LOL! I was in a hurry, just
cut up a bunch of veggies and tossed them in a pan (zucchini, green and yellow
peppers, onion, mushrooms, tomatoes, carrots, bean sprouts) and cooked until
tender ... threw the shrimp in a steamer to heat (they were pre-cooked) and called
it dinner. Hub and I killed dang near all of it off, we were starving since we
hadn't eaten since breakfast and all THAT consisted of was a bowl of mixed fruit
that was leftover from breakfast yesterday. So dinner portion was really pretty
heavy and far from normal, but also probably very low in points anyway.


Well, then just drink the stuff (G) I may give that a whirl again
tonight as I had sushi last night and I have a baked potato (white)
left over from about 3 nights ago. Soped in tequila/lime juice will
be okay. Today was pretty light kind of - granola and milk and flax
oil and sardines for breakfast. A peanut butter/jelly sandwich and
some brazil nuts for a very chilly lunch and then some dried cheese
and some dried pineapple. All that for 11 miles of skiing up 2,200
feet in 20-25F temps.


Well dang, can't even drink the stuff now ... can't find what I did with that
stupid little bottle! LOL I'm beginning to think one of the kids swiped it. G
Temps are now very warm here - low 50s - definitely wierd for our neck of the
woods. It became so warm in the house, I've turned the heat off for a bit to try
and bring the temp back down to earth. Hub is sitting in the family room with the
doors opened.

I also had several days last week with all time lows - but sure it will be quite a
few weeks before I see those numbers again. G I haven't hit the scales
yesterday or today - not worried, just no time to run nekid to the basement. G
And once again I know salt is playing havoc with me. Pizza Wednesday night was
terribly salty (had to stop at a convenience store on the way home to get
something to drink - hubby felt the same way) and Christmas Day's ham was also
heavy salt. I need to start pushing that water again.


Well, if you don't tell Lesanne, I saw 160 the other morning on the
home scale but today is was back at 158. (g)


WooHoo! Funny how that works, huh? Up today for me, am hoping it will swing back
down. But I also know I am heading into that rough time of the month where the
hormones do some funky things. I usually have about 2 good weeks out of 4 (gotta
love the aging process).

And today was another chilly bike ride - to REI for some small items
for skiing and a CHUM to hold my bike glasses around my neck while
biking.

I got a lot of exercise in but I don't seem to see any of it on the
scale - which is scary since it may mean I am eating too much.

Could also just be that body taking a short break again, and readjusting. You
know I've fallen off the exercise track, and I fully expect to not see any changes
on the scale as I start back up. Past history has done this to me, and I also
recall reading the same thing. Exercise will build muscle and cause water
retention - takes time for actual results to show on a scale, yet results do show
other places such as clothing fitting much better or looser.

I've seen your weigh in results posted and highly doubt that you are eating too
much. g

Maybe. I think I will either see results or not over this next week.
Three more days of pretty intense skiing in very frigid temps (today
it was 10F) but my friend has done a good job of providing foods that
so tempted me. She made lots of cookies and I sampled them. She also
found Stilton with apricots - very interesting. Water retention to
help VERY SORE muscles is a definite possibility. Boy, oh, boy.
Thighs, neck and arms.

I've seen your weigh in results posted and highly doubt that you are eating too
much. g


I am not controlling it as well as I should even if one could say I'm
not eating too much. Just eating and eating.
