Default Z trim fiber experiment is disappointing

I decided to drop a capsule of Z trim appetite suppresant into an eight
ounce glass of warm water to see what would happen. I believe Z trim is
insoluble fiber.

Within 2 minutes the capsule released it's contents which fell to the bottom
of the glass. After awhile everything settled to the bottom. 47 minutes into
the experiment and there's a little pile of white fuzzy stuff on the bottom
of the glass. The water seems to be as thin as it was when I started the
experiment. It looks like I could fit all the .2grams of fiber on the bottom
of the glass back into a capsule. It doesn't amount to more than a
tablespoon and now it's been 15 hours.

I don't see how this can make me feel fuller. It just doesn't amount to
much, but then it is indigestible. It'll go through me entire digestive
system without being absorbed.

Today I weighed myself and I was 4 pounds lighter than any previous
weighings and I weighed myself the day before. I sometimes get strange
fluctuations in the scale amounting to 4 pounds, but this reading is still
way lower. I do think I am losing weight. I could feel the difference in my
clothes.

I should tell you I've also been riding my bicycle. I've never had more
success with anything than bicycling for losing weight. I've been riding
since May and I haven't lost more than 4 pounds. Took 3 weeks off for an
injury, but I was still surprised at how tenaciously the weight hung on to
me. Now this. I've practically doubled my weight loss for the summer in two
weeks. Is the Z trim working or is it just that I've finally started riding
enough to have an effect?

I just realized there's a video that z trim holdings put out on you tube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oD_qM...sp%3Frecid%3D5

They show a person taking a capsule of the appetite suppresant and it
expands and fills in the stomach. He then says "I'm full". This is very
stange in light of the results of my experiement where the z trim just layed
on the bottom of the glass in powder form with no gelling at all.

Z Trim sounds like a placebo to me. I definitely wouldn't attribute any
weight loss to it. Weight fluctuations like you are talking about are very
normal and common. I fluctuate that much regularly. I also ride my bike
for exercise. Right now it's my only source of exercise. Normally, I
don't lose any weight, no matter how little I eat, if I am riding alot. It
has to do with water retention. If I take a few days off, I'll drop like 4
lbs. It's mostly water.

YOu should try a psyllium based fiber supp if you want to feel full.

It's called "false advertising". Soluble fiber is what expands in water.
Insoluble does not.

A slice of whole wheat bread has 3 grams of fiber. A serving of beans has 6
grams of fiber. A serving of peas has 4 grams of fiber. I normally eat 4
slices of whole wheat bread 12 grams of fiber. 2 servings of beans 12 grams
of fiber you should consume 24 grams of fiber. Green leafiies have about 2
grams per serving I usually do 2. Plus what ever is in the other veggies I
eat. 12+12+4.
Do not wast your money on supplements. Eat whole grains do not eat milled
grains and be sure and eat at least one serving of legumes, beans peas.

I've been eating the "Double Fiber" bread by Oroweat. It is 70 calories per
slice and has 6g of fiber. It is not the best tasting bread, but an easy
way to get more fiber. "Real food" is always the best place to get your
nutrients, but I don't discount the benefits of supplementing with
multivitamins and fiber.

You know what does work though to make you feel full for almost zero
calories are the very low cal vegetables like celery, lettuce,
radishes, cauliflower (cauliflower also has quite a bit of fiber), and
my very favorite...green beans, which for the calories (70 cal for an
entire can) are loaded with fiber and protein. They aren't so
satisfying for many, but they do make you feel really full. I eat mine
with diet pop. There are some who think drinking cold diet pop
actually subracts calories from your total at the rate of 11 cal per 8-
oz. glass. This might be because it takes calories to raise your
internal temp back to normal from the cold. I can't say if it's true,
but it sounds right and even in Texas, after I drink a lot of ice-cold
pop, I am still cold outside for quite some time and have to get out
of the air conditioning. Heck, I'm cold most of the time though...part
of being thin and older, I suppose.

Other people claim a few peanuts or even jelly beans helps lower
appetite. This is not the case with me...I just want more....a lot
more. For me the name of the game seems to be to eat as much food as I
can get for the calories. This tends to keep you regular too cause the
very-low cal foods are loaded with water and fiber usually (for the
calories) and water and fiber have zero calories. Lots of people drink
a bunch of water before meals and that seems to work for a while, but
I just get hungry again very soon afterward. dkw

It's been two or three days now. The contents of the pill have been laying
at the bottom of the glass of room temperature water. I decided to dump it
out. There was a clear gel lump in the sink when I was done. I picked some
of it up. It comes apart easily to form smaller, jellyfish like blobs.

Most food completely dissolves after a day in water. Not this stuff.

Hi,
Try Aunt Millie's Whole Grain (light) bread. It has 35 calories per
slice and 3 grams of fiber. It tastes good and you can have two
slices with the same amount of fiber for one slice of the "Double
Fiber" bread. Another good source of fiber that tastes great is the
Fiber One Chewy bars. They have 9 grams of fiber per bar and make a
great dessert!

To your success,

How do you sort the scams from reality? Supplements are convenient. Some
nutrients taken via supplements can be harmful. Which is cheaper? You need
to eat anyway.
