Default One Month Anniversary

Hi All,
Today is my one month anniversary as an official Lo-Carber. I started
at 200, and currently 186, and look forward to 140. I also have my
eight year old son on a modified version. Basically, he just does not
eat sugar or any processed food. He still drinks milk, and eats fruit.
I am really proud of him! He has lost 8 pounds and 10 inches! He goes
on walks with me and has more energy. He went to a Birthday party,
passed on all the junk food (they did not even have any diet soda!) He
passed on the cake and ice-cream as well. We talked about it before
hand, and he took a diet soda, and a lc bar to eat as his treat. We
also planned an evening off for the next night. It went well, neither
of us went overboard, but it was a tad difficult for me to not want to
carry on. We will save our planned meals off for very special
occassions. All and all, I feel so much better eating this way. I am
really sensitive to bread and doughy things, and definitely do not
miss the inevitable tummy ache after consumption. Oh yah, I forgot to
mention I have lost 11 inches as well. This works, is definitely not a
temporary fix, and is our way of eating! Blessings to all,
Jeano

Congrats. I hope you never have to do the first month over again. It
really does get easier with time, doesn't it.

I too have a very irregular cycle: anywhere from 27 to 38 days. Before
LCing, I never noticed water gain, 'course I wasn't looking that closely
either. Now, starting about a week before Aunt Flo comes to town I gain
about three pounds with a one week stall before that (ovulation, I think).
Then about one or two days after 'she' leaves, a three or four pound loss.
Go figure. I've been averaging about 2 pounds per week, but not at all
linearly.

Hello,
Today marks my one month anniversary of Atkins.
As of today I've lost 24.4lbs. Don't get me wrong, I'm proud of that, but
I'd really love to know what my true weight is. I feel all bloated and
gross today. It's my time of the month soon. Never know when exactly but

I
feel like crap.
I'm actually up 0.4lbs since Monday. I'm praying it's not actual fat

gain.
(Luna, I now know how you felt before weighing in this month. I dreaded

it
myself.)

Have any other women on here noticed any changes in their periods since
LC'ing?
Today is day 28 for me, nothing yet, which is actually normal for me

because
mine comes around day 33, 35, and sometimes even around day 40 or so.

Last
month though I actually got it a few days early at day 27. I figured it

was
cause I'm eating different.
Anyhow, just thought I'd post my stats for the month. On with the

journey.
Maybe I should just go back to bed.
Monica.

If my period doesn't start soon, I will kill somebody, dip them in chocolate,
and eat them. I never noticed cravings before, probably because I had cravings
ALL the time. (and to be honest, they're not THAT bad now, I am actually
resisting, I just prefer my non-pms times when I have NO cravings) I also never
liked chocolate before. (much anyway) Now I'm haunted by it. OTOH, I hardly get
any cramps anymore. Which is a good thing!

Hola,

Congratulations on your first month Atkinsversary!!! You are
not alone during the time of the month. I usually gain
between 2-5 pounds prior the week of my period. After the
period, I lose those pounds, usually a couple extra pounds
too!! About your cycle, well, I have always been irregular
meaning cycles ranging from 20-40 days... All my life, so
it is something that you have to keep checking.

! HOLA
Thanks for the congrats, though after yesterday I am slightly disappointed
in myself but i'll live and carry on!
This is the second time I've had my period on time since I started LC'ing.
Kind of disappointed in that too! Oh well.
I kind of liked them being few and far between.
Thanks again,
Monica.--

Thanks Amy,
I got it this morning, and I "cheated" last night. I won't bother weighing
myself today cause I am bloated. (I've always noticed the bloating)
Thanks for your thoughts,
Monica
