Obese corpse a problem for coroner's office
By Kristin Bender, STAFF WRITER

OAKLAND -- A day after summoning a crane to remove the body of a 700-pound
West Oakland man, Alameda County coroner's officials Thursday were trying
to figure out what to do with the corpse.

Supervising Coroner Frank Gentle said authorities have not been able to
find any family of William Lindelof, who died at a care home on West Street
about 11 p.m. Tuesday. He was 49.

Gentle said the man's parents, believed to be from Alameda, are dead, and
no relatives have been located.

Because of his size, Lindelof does not fit in a standard incinerator used
for cremation or a standard casket, Gentle said. The body remains at the
coroner's office in downtown Oakland.

"We are having trouble figuring out what to do," Gentle said.

A spokesman from the Casket Showroom in Fremont said he had never heard of
a casket that could accommodate a man that size. The company's standard
caskets are about 3 feet wide, and Lindelof was much wider.

Officials said Lindelof had been complaining of chest pain and shortness of
breath before he died Tuesday.

The cause of death has been determined to be acute and chronic congestive
heart failure due to massive obesity, Gentle said.

On Wednesday, coroner's officials used a crane to remove the man's body
from the care home. Once in the coroner's van, officials called on the
Oakland Fire Department, which brought in a cargo net and helped transport
the man into the morgue.

Oh gosh isn't that horrible. I think caskets can be special ordered. I
knew someone that weighed between 600 to 700 pounds. It took several
days to get the casket. This guy died he was only 34 years old.

could someone with more historical perspective than me provide some

contentious cross-posts about obesity. It's been going on for what
seems like forever. Every time I filter out the usual suspects
somebody "new" lie Jean C appears on the scene.

Well Jean C is a real human and her forger, NR the ****, is not. He
is forging her good name to deliberately troll you.

A grassroots efforts is being made to identify him and expose that
information around the world. Once that happens you will not be
bothered again.

This is a troll... Unless he already arranged for a burial plot, or he's
willed funds to himself for one, then he'd be cremated, no if's and's or
but's. Casket size is a moot point. Also, it fails to mention where
they're keeping his body. I doubt it fits in the morgue's cooler.

I thought so too, but the story is legit. The article came from the

Yes, she is. And like a million monkies at keyboards, trying to eke out
the entire works of Shakespeare, it should only take...well, never.
She'll never expose anyone.

HOWEVER! Lady Vet was just outed as being the forger behind the Jean C
forgeries. Her IP addy was traced and logged. Case closed.

IOW-Her "trying" really involved her cross-posting and annoying as many
ng's as possible.

I hope this clears up any confusion you may have.

Bitch.

Miss "I Have Secondary Syphilis So My Brain Aint Right" has all all
her facts straight in a line. Too bad for her they lead to a place no
one else wants to go.

News flash - vermin-you mind aint never been right.

Karma is wonderful...You are going to become everything you say I
am...and I am going to be so happy my feet won't be touching the
ground.

You are getting right up there with NR the **** in the "I can't think
of words to describe how low you are" department... Don't worry
though-I will think of something.
