Default LowCarb Fritos News Item

Found this on another website:

"Frito Lay may be throwing in the towel on its Edge line of low-carb
potato chips. CarbWire got a reader tip that the line will be phased out
after December 31st, 2004. On a call with Frito Lay today, CarbWire
could only confirm that Edge will be made through the end of the
year--the company could not comment on plans for 2005. "

Well, I guess that explains what's going on. I encourage everyone who
likes these to give them a call and let them know you want them. The
phone number from the bag for consumer comments is 800-352-4477.

I can think of some reasons why these didn't sell quickly. I just
happened to see them sitting in the middle of the aisle at Walmart
with other Doritos being featured. Two weeks later, they were gone.
I've never seen them in a LC section of a supermarket where they would
get noticed. And if they just put them with other chips like at
Walmart, I'm not suprised they wouldn't sell, because no one doing LC
even looks there because none of the tradional chips are anywhere near
LC.

Does anyone know the carb counts on these chips and do they sell them in
Canada. I can't seem to get the link.

I'm not surprised they're not selling. Probably because real
low-carbers don't eat these things. I haven't had a potato chip since
I started LC in March.

Are you kidding about "real low-carbers don't eat these things"?

Whatever that means.

I haven't had a potato chip since I started LC in March.

So? Many low carb "junk food" items have been around for years. For
example, the Atkins brand chips have been around for years. Evidently,
your personal tastes haven't rendered that brand obsolete.

If someone invented instant water, what would they mix it with?
