Default Time to come back to the group

Hi all,

I've been away from the group for about a year. I've been lurking for a
couple of weeks and just trying to find the time to post again. I see some
familiar names from the last time I was he Willow, Lee, Doug, Kate to
name a few. Everyone seems to be making great progress. Congrats to all.
I've been hanging out on the WW site but that does not seem to be enough
support or positive reinforcement that I need right now.

I haven't given up on WW and am slowly making progress. I'm down 90+ pounds
in the 3+ years since I first joined. As of this morning's WI, I have 5
pounds to my WW goal and 15 pounds to my personal goal. This week's WI was a
2.4 pound gain was due to Thanksgiving, traveling, a birthday and a wedding
over the past 2 weeks. Things have returned to normal at home so I can
concentrate on my food planning better. I just have no control over things
when I am away.

Right now I am basically maintaining - up and down 2 pounds each week since
the beginning of November. I get this way each November/December after we
change the clocks. I rarely drive after dark (slight night blindness) so my
water aerobics attendance goes from 4-5 classes a week down to the 3 weekday
classes. I told DH I wanted him to help me drag the old exercise bike out of
the basement so that I can use it at night. I hate going into our cold
basement so putting it upstairs in our bedroom might just be the added
exercise I need to get the last few pounds off. I did so much better this
summer when I supplemented the water aerobics (3x week) with several 2 mile
walks a week.

I'm just not active enough to keep the weightloss going on its own. I
generally aim for 22 points per day but using the new flex point calculator
(available with e-Tools/monthly pass) I should be 19-21 points depending on
my level of activity. (For my gender, age and height: 19 = "sitting down
most of the time", 21 = "occasionally sitting, but mainly standing", 23 =
"walking most of the time" and 25 = "doing physically hard work most of the
time".) So I need to increase my activity level as well as drop my food
intake a tad. I won't go down to 19 or 20 points but I can easily aim for 21
per day to see if that helps.

Well, enough of my ramblings...

Hope everyone has a good week.

Laura

Me too Laura. I stopped about a year ago and I've gained back 10 lbs with
quitting smoking. So I'm back too.
