New Scale : (
That scale sounds evil!! Keep in mind that your start weight was 6 lbs
heavier too, so don't think of it as weight gain. What type of scale did you get? -- Email me at: perpleglow(AT)comcast.net http://community.webshots.com/user/perpleglow "MH" wrote in message ... For those of you who may have an older scale, it may not be accurate. I bought a new scale last night and I'm 6 pounds heavier! Boo hoo! I know that scales can be off a little, but sheesh.... Oh well, I've still lost a lot of weight and will continue to do so.... Martha |

Think about the progress you've made in other areas. Could the new scale be off a little, too? Beverly |

Don't forget water weight too. I can weight 5 pounds more or less depending
on the fluid in my body. I'm amazed at how much fluid weighs in a body. Also, learn to like yourself the way you are or the way you want to be, and not the number on the scale. But I really believe it's not the number itself that matters so much when I get on the scale, it's how it relates to the number it gave me last time I got on. janice |

I agree with Janice, the loss is all relative. I know I'd get a more
accurate reading of my weight if I weighed at the gym, but I hate using a scale that is so public. So, I use the losses (never, never any gains, of course) on my home scale as a guidepost to how I am doing rather than the actual weight, which is about 5 lbs lower than the gym one. Also, I've noted that my scale will change how much I weigh by where it is in my bathroom, so I am sure it is always in the same place and always at the same angle. Silly, I know, but I believe it gives me a more accurate day to day reading. Elise. "janice" wrote in message ... This month's Consumer Reports actually ranked fat scales. Taylor body fat
analyzer 5553 ranked the best for body fat accuracy - $50. The Tanita scale pus BF-680 ranked best for weight accuracy - $70. -- Email me at: perpleglow(AT)comcast.net http://community.webshots.com/user/perpleglow "MH" wrote in message ...
