"Andrew" wrote in message oups.com... Is there one "perfect diet" for good health and longetivity? My guess is no. And even if the greatest nutrition researchers in the world came to an agreement on a perfect diet, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't follow it 100% of the time. I enjoy eating a wide variety of foods, and if it means I will live a few years less I am willing to accept that. I am content to live an active life at a healthy weight. Does it vary from person to person? A good diet will have to make accomadations to food allergies, available foods, individual tastes, and lifestyle. I recently saw a television show where the nutritionist develop a diet for a woman who was on the go a lot, worked long hours, and often late into the night. The nutritionist recommended a great diet involving much food preparation. She even showed the woman how to cook the food. But that woman will never follow the nutritionist's advice, because it doesn't match her lifestyle. Matthew |
