Ive found a banana sorts me out when im feling hungry so they will do fine for the odd snack when required. Ive weighed my muesli and found a suitable sized coffee cup filled is exactly 100grams of my muesli and thats how much i put in the bowl of a morning. That will make it much easier in the morning by just filling the cup. I just have to measure the milk now so I can round off my breakfast to 500 cals. I expect to make it through the weekend eating properly which will be an achievement in itself. 350/350/210 Nice tweaking. A good attitude to adopt is the concept of adversity. You *will* meet adversity. You *will* have challenges. The cool thing is, you can knuckle down and face them and work through them and solve them. That's the skill you were using when you figure out a way to measure your muesli. Another person might have whined, "it's too hard to tell!" :-) Unlike Susan, I like bananas. I tend to eat my fruits with a bit of protein, so I rarely have just a banana alone, but I think they're great nutrients and very nice for keeping things moving, if you know what I mean. One way we like to eat bananas is to slice a V out of the banana and put peanut butter inside the groove. It's just a dite of peanutbutter, but enough to make it stick to your ribs. (Another way to look at it is it lowers the glycemic load of the meal.) Dally 244/172/168 (after a visit from the whoosh fairy this week) Awesome! You are almost at goal! |

Dally.... look.. at.. that.. whoosh. wtg girl Thanks. I credit the power of Fitday. I've been logging all week. And I love bananas I just think there are better places in my WOE for them rather than a snack to tied ya over. Well, I *did* tell him to plan some 300 calorie snacks, and he was having them when he'd have had a snack anyway. I believe in progress, not perfection (though I really think bananas are pretty perfect anyway.) Susan 280/186/140 I always thought your goal was too low for a woman with significant bones and muscle mass, (like me), but Imay have to set my goal lower yet. My new lean body mass measurement suggested I might have to put 164 as my goal. (I really, really hate how my "perfect" goal weight is perpetually ten pounds away, where the ten pounds in question are sitting on my butt and thighs.) Dally 244/172/168 |

I am also large boned, and still have a good bit of muscle, but unfortunately it goes down as the fat does. I'd never have thought I wanted to be this low, but it just seemed right. I'm now thinking I don't really want to go back up to 145-150, but haven't officially changed that as my goal range. It wouldn't break my heart to be in that range, certainly. Chris 262/139/ (145-150) {Today's my official update day, and my new average is 139. It may well be up after last night's dinner, but I don't know that I'm likely to make it to the gym today, which is where I weigh myself, so that's it for now.) |
