Default solid food!

I went to the site you mentioned and went to the virtual restaurant section.
What a shocker! Next time before my husband and I go out, I plan to revisit
this site and remind myself that I need to make very careful choices.
Congrats on your progress. Elise.

Hi Jennifer,
this might be a dumb question, but what is HMR? Is it a program? A brand
of liquid diet? Is this supervised via a doctor's program?

Thanks so much!

Marcella

HMR is a medically supervised, highly structured diet. It varies in
composition depending on the calorie level you decide to pursue. I'm on

the
VLCD which is 500-800 cal/day which is a liquid diet. There is another

part
of the plan called Healthy Solutions which incorporates some meal
replacements with food in a structured diet consisting of 1200, 1400, or
1600 calories. Here's more info:

That's great. We do plan at least three meals per week to be
home-made and MR-free. This week it'll be two nights of Asparagus and
Feta Frittata, and one night grilled swordfish and broccoli. Over the
winter we do this a lot more, since the season lends itself more to
our specialties, veggie chili and especially Robbie's incredible
Seafood Stew.

Seafood Stew? Care to share? I always collect recipes for healthy meals!

My wife says she'll write it down, but just for you. grin If I
remind her when she's at her desk. I'll keep working on it. She's
really cagy about that recipe.

Watch the swordfish.... too much = mercury poisoning.

We only have it once every other week or so. Not a problem.

Thanks! I have had the same reaction after spending so much time studying
nutritional info for restaurants these last months. Chicken enchiladas are
one of my favorites and of course I mistakenly thought they were better than
some of the other choices. I'll still let myself have an enchilada once in
a blue moon though... Even fajitas which are touted as a healthier
alternative by some diet folks. I guess without sour cream and guacamole,
etc.

Tell her that I am truly honored and I'll take it to the grave with me. If
I had a decent original one to share I
would, but all of mine come from cookbooks and magazines
