Default Confusing label!

Dreamfields new LC spaghetti shows 5 digestible carbs on the box. Hey, that
looks great but... Looking at the label it shows 42g of total carbs per 2
ounce serving. OK. Below that is fiber at 4g, sugar at 1g and 'controlled
carbs' at 37g (adds up to 42). Looking at the ingredients, it shows
sorbitol well down on the list, so I assume that is where the 'controlled'
carbs is coming from. They must be subtracting the fiber as being part of
the controlled carbs (sugar alcohol) to come up with the 5 'digestible'
carbs; otherwise, there would only be 1 net carb from the sugar. Talk about
confusing!!! It looks like fiber is listed twice, on its own and hidden as
part of the controlled carbs!

Maybe there is some truth in LC impairing brain function as this just don't
add up to me....

Later,
Dave

I don't know what, exactly, they claim to have done to prevent the
absorbtion of most of them, but the "controlled" carbs in it are starch.
Starches are never listed separately from total carbs.

This label won't "add up", because of what they claim to have done to
prevent the absorbtion of most of the starch carbs. Several diabetics
who test their blood sugar have reported that it didn't jack it up
like regular pasta, and one (or maybe two) said that it did.

Ok here is the deal....
Labels are just guidelines.
If you want some pasta eat it.
Be prepared for the effects and don't bitch, moan, or in any other way
have some random bull**** emotional purge about it.
Am I getting crotchety in my old age? Damn skippy.

Single malt scotch is awesome (NO it does NOT have carbs as DON'T vodka,
gin, rum, bourbon, etc generally)
Malt can be made low carb through the judicious use of yeast.
Low carb beer? Uh...yeah.
Read the books.
You can have more than eggs for breakfast.
Yes calories do count.
Ketosticks are not neccessary to lose weight.

Email: Actually my feet are big not medium.
