Default Business trip tomorrow

Well, tomorrow starts my 2 week business trip. I think I am going to take a
little advice from Rachael Ray of the Food Network and try ordering half
size meals. I will see how many of the restaurants offer it.
Wish me luck!

That's an excellent idea, Herman. Just make sensible choices and you'll be
fine.

When I order a sandwich I often throw away the top bun and use only the
bottom half for the sandwich. It cuts down on the carbs and calories and it
just as filling. I'm sure you'll find many ways to stick to you woe while
traveling.

Enjoy the trip.

Applebees offers the small portion salads and many meals, plus their new WW
and low carb menus
Chilis has a new low carb menu as well, they also offer some half size
meals, and they also are very lienient on allowing you to change up your
order.

On meals that offer fries, potato, etc.. substitute for steamed veggies or
small salad with light dressing.

My latest kick at Chilis is the grilled tuna sandwich, hold the bun, sub
steamed veggies for the fries. I then end up scraping off the seasoning
off the veggies as the salt drives me nuts.

Try to see if you can find some of the smaller mom/pop type restuarants -
ones that do pizza, subs, salads, etc. Many times they will offer smaller
portions as well.

Stay away from the bread and the breaded or fried foods. Go for veggies,
salads and meats. Remember, many hotels have mini fridges and microwaves in
the rooms, take advantage of those where you can and stick to your usual
woe.

You'll do fine
