Update
After the second round of poison ivy and prednisone medication for the
season I'm happy to say my weight is back at 148. Maybe now I can see some real results from going back to the WW at work sessions. I had been down a couple pounds but gained a few while on the medication. My doctor advised staying out of my yard and for once I think I'll take his adviceg I did the tape measure and BF test at Bally's last week. I was really pleased to see a 2% decrease in the BF and 1/2 inch loss in most measurements. The thighs were up 1/2 inch but I imagine that's from all the bike riding - 130 miles the last two weeks. I'm not 100% sure what caused the BF decrease - bike riding, weight training or CLA. I haven't done too much weight training the past two weeks. I started taking CLA about 6-8 weeks ago. Several studies indicate it can help to reduce BF. Most of my fat is around the waist area so I'll stick with the CLA, exercise and diet and hope for a continued decrease in BF. I'm still shooting for 140 as my first goal. At that point I'll see where the BF is and go from that point. Beverly |
