OUTLAW OLYMPICS!

Greece is spending many BILLIONS of dollars on the Olympics, and they will
be in debt for decades. Los Angeles is still paying for their Olympics 20
years ago! Every four years some nation spends billions for what?? The
Olympics are hardly more than a charade. Most of the athletes either were
juicing at some point, or still are with advanced masking agents. So what is
the point?? Not just of hosting the Olympics, but of supporting these
arrogant athletes who never work and must be fed, clothed, and housed year
after year??

Hundreds of Millions of dollars are spent in the USA just housing these
illiterate scumbags. WHY??? What for?? Who cares about any of the stupid
records that they compete for??? Is it worth spending so much money??

ALL THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS could be spent on education of children,
instead of supporting jocks. I think that the OLYMPICS are a totally
wasteful by-product of the past. They are a dinosaur, and they need to be
scaled back to their original size. Synchronized Swimming? Ballroom Dancing?
etc.?? It is not only that 35% of the events are not even SPORTS, but these
folks participating are all getting a free ride on the TAXPAYER! Your Tax
Dollar is paying for all this. You are buying them their vitamins, their
protein shakes, their Creatine, and their steroids

I'm no fan of the olympics either. and by and large agree that it's a waste
of time, and resources...

But then people have the freedom to do that; freedom being something most of
us value....

Many care about their stupid records whether you (or I) like it or not. As
for 'tax dollars'. Well, since you cross posted to many forums including
international ones you should note that there IS landfall beyond the big
metal lady with the ice-cream cone. In fact Greece is one of those countries
as as such what the Greek Government do with their tax revenues is nothing
to do with anyone outside that country.......

Many athletes receive little or nothing from their governments and achieve
what they do under their own steam... Frankly I've more of a problem with
many of the so-called 'professional' performing seals who are set up as
idols to numb the minds of the workers..... But then if you've a problem
with how your taxes are spent you have the right and duty, have you not, to
protest and possibly stand for office against those who do not share your
views? Surely a better option than spewing vitriol????

Whether an individual choses to participate in such events or a state choses
to support that participation is a matter of freedom. IMHO a state is
mis-appropriating funds if they chose to support individuals or events that
provide no social or economic benefit. I'm no fan of the olymics and am
certainly no supporter of state hand-outs for those who contribute nothing
to society nor of the clowns (personal opinion) who dedicate their lives to
playing daft wee games. Yet I do find the tone of your post deeply
offensive. Then, perhaps that was actually your point? Just to give offence?

If you HAVE a serious position on this matter perhaps you would convince
more of it's validity by presenting your case in a more rational and
respectful manner......

who use selected footage each olympics to propagandize their small
minded political agendas. (and recieve big-time awards for it)..Is Ken
