I tried the mixed berry bars last week because I had a coupon for a free

cheddar twists. They sub for my former doritos fix on my drive to the gym
(with a piece of fruit).

How many calories are WW bars? Do they have sugar alcohols in them? My body
can't seem to tolerate those. I'd rather have less of something with real
sugar in it than twice as much of something with fake sugar in it.

Are you able to get WW bars in Japan?

I don't mind what other people eat, but boy do I guard the food that goes
into ME. I don't get to eat enough to put anything like that in there. If I
want chocolate I save points for something really evil.
But, like you, I know people who use that stuff. Even a couple at goal.

hi Lesanne, just curious. with all the weight you have lost, what have you
learnt over the time in how to fight cravings, especially chocolate
cravings? what do you do in the moment to deal and overcome the craving?

thanks in advance

Sorry for butting into someone else's question but I had a suggestion.

Diet is about experience, trade offs and worth. If you've counted
calories or read labels you know roughly how many calories are in that
piece of cake. That means you know what has to be sacrificed to eat
that piece of cake. Whether it's burning an extra ~200 calories at the
gym or dropping ~200 calories from future meals throughout the day.
Once you weigh that, the cake may lose it's attractiveness or "worth"
and be determined unnecessary.

I forgot to add the alternative. If you decide to eat this little
reward without extra exercise or cutting calories somewhere else, you
can raise your body weight by 20 pounds (depending on your height, age
and sex). It really doesn't take many extra calories daily to pack on
pounds.

I don't have any bars here, but my meeting is on Monday so I will write down
the nutritional data for you. I got some WW carrot cakes at the store today
and they contain sugar. I had never seen them before and thought I would
try them since I love carrot cake. They're just ok.

My way of dealing with my chocolate cravings is to drink chocolate flavored
soy milk with breakfast each day. If I want real chocolate, I'll eat real
chocolate and make sure I have the points allotted.

don't let it get to you...days will go by when you do everything right
and the weight won't change and all of a sudden it will start dropping
again...i don't know why and it is very depressing to go hungry and not
see a difference on the scale

To each their own, many many of my members tell me that the WW snacks are
one of the thing that keeps them on track..

Better a 2 pts bar than a snicker one.. I'd rather see them eat an apple,
but I didn't make the world..

Odwalla has a mulipack of bars available in a few flavors at
SuperTarget. I think that Whole Foods may have them as well. I've had
he chocolate chip peanut butter and the carrot and both are good. It
also comes in a berry flavor. They run about 110-130 calories per bar.
They are handy to bring to hockey games -- certainly better than
anything from the concession stand ;-)
