I haven't heard of Tami someone. Anyway, I remember when he became popular
when I was a teen ager. I used to watch him on tv talk and cry with all of
the fat women, trying to help them. The whole time, he just looked so fake
and gay.... I never really warmed up to him. There have been times that
he's been kinda fat over the years too.

I can only take a few minutes of him at a time and it really depends on my
mood. If I'm in my Biker Chick mood (read the comic Rose is Rose if you
don't get the reference), I can't take him at all. If I'm in a more silly
queer tolerant mood, then I can almost work out to the end of the Sweating
to the Oldies DVD I have. There's a giddiness and a forced exuberance

there
that seems so fake at times. I like the work-out "leaders" who have a

more
"I know this isn't fun but it'll make you strong" attitude. I can't
remember her name and I don't want to interrupt what DH is watching on the
tube to find out but the woman (Tami Something, I think) in the Arms and

Abs
of Steel video is good and also is the guy who does the Firefighter's
Workout DVD.

Hey Carol... did you actually get to see Simmons yourself? If I had have
know he would be at the convention, I would have gone for sure...

I'm assuming you're in the local area here (Toronto). Do you know of any
traditional aerobics classes, like Simmons', something high-impact, that
still exist in this city? I can't find anything, I've looked everywhere...
The only classes nowadays around here are the more contemporary ones.

If you (or anyone else in Toronto) on this board know of any classes,
please, let me know...

Mark I read about it in The Star. You see, I am working the Total
Health Show at the Ex this weekend so I didn't go. The woman who
authored the diet i follow will be speaking. I do volunteer work for
her and will be at the show all weekend as I also helped the convener.

No, the ads were funny because they made fun of him. I guess he can be
self-deprecating, in a funny way. : )

I never said he couldn't be funny... he just gets on my nerves!

I don't think I could be in the same city as his voice! Yes, he's

extremely
annoying. I did like the Sprint ads with him though, very funny.

Call the YMCA.

Seriously. Pick up the phone and dial.
