I am planning to stay on plan with the exception of indulging in a
few
bites of very small sweet potato with butter(or just a half if it is
too big)
AFTER I eat my low carb meal.

And who knows...I might be too full to eat it. :-)

Staying on plan, but part of my plan is an occasional carb-up, which
I'm
planning for New Year's Eve.

Me too. I tend to avoid carb ups for fear that they'll end up as slip
ups,
but I think my body needs to get shaken up a bit. I'm not planning a
binge, but for the 24th and the 25th I'm going to eat whatever I want.
The
26th I'll be traveling, so I'll pack some induction friendly foods, start
a 2 week induction and then move on from there.

It's definitely not a "cheat" - it would be very easy for me to stay low
carb, but I think I need to convince my body that I'm not in the middle
of
a famine - so I'm choosing to have some higher carb foods.

Martha

That's exactly why I do it. If you plan exactly what you'll eat, and
don't allow yourself to go over it, it does wonders - or at least, it
has for me.

I'm planning on having Christmas Day off plan, but only in a limited
way - I'm going to have a potato, Yorkshire Pudding and Christmas
Pudding along with the low carb fare. I fully expect to feel like ****
on Boxing Day.

LOL I know what you mean.

I got into a few non LC chocolates
yesterday at work and feel like that today.

I'm a gift wrapper at a mall and someone had given us a box of
chocolates which was sitting on the counter for most of the day.

I had one too many as I was hungry and could not leave the booth (It
was too busy) to get something to eat. Today I feel like crap and am
drinking extra water to flush it out of me.
