Default Day 23 of 100 Days to Thanksgiving

Day 23 of 100 Days to Thanksgiving
253/240/195
BMI=35.1/33.3/27.1

September 6, 2005

Got on my scale about 40 minutes ago and it still is at 240, but it's
hovering on the cusp. Darn. Oh, well, tomorrow or the next day - or
soon anyway - it will be lower.

Had about 850 calories yesterday. Went up my little hill with my 25
pound backpack and took my bike with me. I had to adjust my backpack
coming down so my helmet wouldn't hit the back of the pack as I
glided down the hill. Beautiful day here yesterday, and today there is
much gnashing of teeth as youngsters return to school.

I was just looking at Google Earth on my computer and seeing where we
will be camping and hiking next weekend. That's one heck of a program
and will show you locales on the globe with incredible clarity.
(There's a free version from Google that I installed at the
suggestion of our son.) Sure gives one a different perspective of
things, and one can zoom in and out, tilt the landscape, etc.

I think a different perspective is one of the reasons I included my BMI
scores - if my view of my status is accurate, then all good
indicators should point to where I am and a BMI score can be very
helpful to average people. (Not to weight-lifters and athletes as the
BMI score doesn't take into account the musculature that such people
have accumulated.) So I'm aiming for a BMI goal of about 27 and in
the fullness of time, I will get there.

I hope everyone has a great week and month ahead! I hope all of us
reach the health goals we have set for ourselves!

Yours,

Caleb
