Default Bad day yesterday...

Monumental row with hubby... Not a marriage killer, just one of those
things. I got wound up like clock and exploded!

Went out for lunch - which was lovely but 15 oinks!

Soup and ciabbata for tea - 8 more oinks! Then I pigged more bread in
the evening because I was depressed about being in pain and the row.

32 points in one day! I think I better go swimming TWICE today!
Certainly twice this week - and fill the fridge with zero point soup for
those mad munchie moments.

I may be heading for TOM balckholeitis. I'm swallowing pain killers
like Smarties at the moment. If I take the full whack today that will
be 4000mg of paracetamol... Ooh, me liver! At least I won't feel hungry!

You and me too! No fight, just ansey cause I'm quitting smoking too. And
it seems Saturdays are the day I always seem to cheat! I've been going up
and down between 183 and 185 for quite a while now.

Oh yes! Actually, today started badly - grumpy and lots of pain! - but
got better... Painkillers killed my apatite, so I ate a total of 19
points... I also did my walk this afternoon in the heat (I wore my sun
hat and glasses, and took a bottle of water with me!) for 2.5 points,
and then I went swimming for a whole hour again this evening, for
another 8 points, so not only have I clawed back those ten points, but
I'm also 3.5 points slack if I get the munchies tomorrow!

Dinner tonight:

Baked Jacket potato: 3 points
60g prawns: 1 point
sauce (half home made mayo, half half-fat creme fraiche, with a dash of
tomato puree and Tabasco) 1.5 points
salad of shredded iceberg lettuce, shredded white cabbage, and grated
carrot: zero points
WW chocolate crisp bar: 1.5 points

A feast for 6 points!

Thanks. It's hard after over 40 years of off and on smoking, but I think
cutting back slowly to begin with was the best way. I still want them, but
I dont' crave them.

Bad days happen. It's what we do to avoid repeating the behaviors the next
day that count. At least, that's what I tell myself when I overdo things.
I've been having that talk with myself a little too frequently lately.
You've shown that you know what to do. I've no doubt you'll set things right
once the other things settle down.

Default Bad day yesterday...

I quit back in January 99 with the help of zyban/wellbrutin from the doctor.
It helps with the cravings but if not taken for a long enough period of time
it won't help with the munchies or help prevent the weight gain. If only my
doctor had known that at the time. Studies now show that you need to take
the med for a minimum of 6 months. I only stayed on it long enough to quit -
about 2 weeks. 50 pounds later and I find out this new info.

Drink lots of water to help flush the toxins out of your system. Keeping
yourself busy drinking water will also keep your mind off of smoking and
eating.
