Default Study finds Weight Watchers works

http://www.azcentral.com/health/diet...roveit-ON.html

Here is another article on the same study. I wouldn't say that the
interpretation is that Weight Watchers "works".

Seriously, how many of us who have 30, 50, 100 lb to lose would go to
Weight Watchers knowing the odds were a loss of a grand total of 5 or 6
lb....?

It is kind of amazing that various programs are able to charge people
all kinds of money without having to provide stats on their success
rates - which should include what percentage of starters actually
manage to stick with it to goal, plus how many of those few are able to
maintain their loss for an extended period of time. Heck, they make
fertility clinics disclose their success rates, you'd think diet places
would have to do the same.
