"man made sugars"?? don't you mean something different? Corn syrup is not
"man made" if it comes from corn, after all.

True

But isn't high fructose corn syrup a kind of man made sugar?

I know it comes from corn..... but how is HFC diff? Or is it?

Is HFC just the natural sugars in corn that are extracted into a
syrup? Or is it altered some how?

Here's the bottom line, as I see it. Your body depends on carbohydrates for
fuel. Our wonderful and industrious government, in their research, figured
that out. But what your body does is take any leftover carbs that you eat
and store them in the form of fat for a rainy day.

However, in the world today, not that many people have those rainy days, so
we just store more carbs. Those of us on a low-carb lifestyle are forcing
the rain.

Great analogy!

Thanks!!

I always thought corn was a "good" food... ne that was good for you

Are you saying that all forms of corn are basically useless foods and
have very little nutritional value other than carbs?

If yes...... would it be wise to give up eating corn al together?
