A diet is forever

Be all that you can be

Do not delude yourself

Hey, I like that. I think I'll add that to my mantra.
Thanks!

Default Best Diet Tips?

Assuming a not very fat person, probably 12-15 times his weight in
pounds, that would be his calories burned.

i

So in order to loose 2 lbs a week a person can only net 1200 - 1500

calories
a day?

Heaven help me......

I don't understand what you mean exactly, but if you have a daily
calorie deficit of 1000 calories, you would lose 2 lbs per week long
term.

To create this deficit, you eat 560 calories less (one Big Mac is 560
calories)and exercise 440 calories extra, say by walking 2 hours per
day or by some other means.

i

That's why I said a person can only net 1200 to 1500 calories a day. Maybe
I should have been more clear and not used the negative (-) symbol?

Do you mean that a person can only eat 1200 to 1500 calories per day
to lose weight? Or, do you mean net as in "have a calorie deficit of
1200 to 1500 calories per day"?

i

have a calorie deficit of 1200 to 1500 calories per day

190 lbs X 12 = 2280 calories per day to maintain current weight. In order
to loose 2 lbs per week 2280 - 1000 = 1280 calories per day net. I can eat
5000 calories per day as long as I burn 3720.
