Default Aspartame & Caffeine

I'm new to this and reading the Atkins New Diet Revolution book which
suggests avoiding aspartame and caffeine -- slows weight loss. All the diet
sodas I've checked so far are sweetened with aspartame -- likewise, diet
jello.

Does anyone have any experience with this -- does it really hamper
weight-loss.

Can you suggest aspartame-free products. Thanks for the help.

Diet Rite, and it's yummy with Splenda and multiple flavors.

Diet Rite, Diet RC, Wais****chers, diet Hansens, diet Crush, diet Clearly
Canadian, Cascadia, Veryfine Fruit-2o, and the Crystal Lite in bottles
(Crystal Lite powder still has aspartame).

There's no non-aspartame jello mix available in grocery stores, but you
can make it with unsweetened Kool-aid, Splenda and gelatin. If you can
find them, the sugarfree Jolly Rancher jello cups don't have aspartame.

Some people have no problem with aspartame, and some people have no
problems with caffeine, so it's a "your body, your experiment" sort
of deal. Both were considered okay in some of the earlier versions of
Atkins' book.

The biggest problem with aspartame is that it is a neurotoxin. I have had
some very bad experiences with it - i.e. severe anxiety, panic attacks etc.
Splenda is 'supposedly' an alternative, however there's been not alot of
research on it's toxicity and negative effects, so I'd be cautious with that
as well.

I know, why does it have to be so damn difficult.

Diet RC Cola and Diet Rite are made with Splenda. I prefer them becuase
I have headches when I have aspertame. I enjoy making Kool Aid with
Plenda instead of sugar.

I can only find the Cola flavor. Does anyone know where to find the
other flavors in the Austin, TX area?

Look for "SLIM-LITE". No caffeine, no aspartame. No calories,
non-carbonated. Uses Sacralose (as Atkins recommends) Has
chromium, is high in Vitamin C. Most delicious diet drink I've ever
tasted too! I get mine at the local Sam's Club. Price is $6.86 for
a dozen 20oz bottles in 4 flavors. URL is "www.slim-lite.com"
