Default alcohol mixed drink?

I am going to a "Gala" event this weekend and would like to have just one
alcohol mixed drink. I know you're not supposed to but just one...I
promise. I will be on day 9 by then. I am going to try and get more
exercise than usual that day. What are some of my choices in the lowest
carb/calorie? I love Bloody Mary's but that has too much tomato and screw
drivers are out. I guess a glass of red wine but I really only like red
wine with meals. What is something tasty?

Stick with a rum and diet-coke and you will be fine.

No you wont! Rum has lots of sugar in it.

No-carb alcohol includes: Vodka, Gin, Whisky/Bourbon/Scotch, and Tequila.

Have any of these with Soda and a lemon or lime.

He asked about LC. This is from Atkins.com:

"Pure spirits (vodka, gin, Scotch and rum) don’t contain any carbs."

I stand corrected! My apologies -- I was sure rum had some carbs in it (it
is, after all, made from sugar cane)

take an 8 oz glass... put lotsa vodka in it. The rest.. club soda. I swear
this almost cancels out the vodka. First of all, if it's mixed right it tastes
like nothing! I swear, water!... 2nd of all- no carbs in vodka or club soda.
I think it's called a belvedere. AND- with all that vodka, you only need ONE!..
I know your posting is old but i wanted to respond anyway. I am pretty excited
about this site.

I drink these from time to time too - I measure out a jigger of vodka (just
so I know how much I'm having for calorie-counting purposes) and add a
splash of lemon juice to the glass after filling it with soda.
