Default Harsh rules means harsh results...

Hi all, I'm new to this group but not new to dieting. I've tried many
different plans and found that I'm most successful when I can be
forgiving of myself. Binge eating is my biggest problem but I found
that strict plans cause me to do it.

The more strict I am with the diet, the less effective it is. When I
count every calorie, every gram of fat, every carb with a measuring
stick I'm doomed. When I break the rules and fall into self-indulgent
food therapy, I find it's it's all over... Back to the fat life.

My diet plan starts to melt like a block of ice on hot pavement! I
start beating myself up because of a stupid, imaginary line that I
drew with a measuring stick. It's just not worth it to set up a line
that you can't cross... NOT WORTH IT! Maybe that's just me but I hope
that others here can relate...

Anyway, hope that helps you because it helped me... stick to the plan,
but be easy on yourself if you break it. Just get back up and keep
going because one day it will be easy. I find that being able to ask
other people questions can get some perspective on yourself with these
things. More objective I guess.

I just started up a a href="http://gethotinfo.blogspot.com/"blog for
dieting/a too. I've been collecting information that can help as a
good resource to those who struggle (everyone?). I'm new to blogging
but as I say, I'm NOT new to diets. This blog thing is pretty cool!!
Glad to see this group. Thanks for listening... stay committed but
don't get committed!)
