Coca-Cola
I thought you might be interested in the reply I received from
Coca-Cola regarding their so-called low-carb, low-calorie soft drink. I thought it was sweetened with Splenda - I was wrong. here it is: "Coca-Cola C2 is sweetened with high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) or Sucrose, and Sucralose, Acesulfame K and Aspartame (a tri-blend). The unique combination of these sweeteners allows us to deliver a great Coca-Cola taste with less than half the carbohydrates and half the calories of regular soda. Based on an 8-ounce serving, that means 12 grams of sugar, 12 grams of carbohydrates and 45 calories. Regarding availability of Coca-Cola C2 outside the U. S. and Japan, several countries are exploring this as we speak, but there are no details that we can announce at this time." Lybbe |

It also contains a lot of sugar and corn syrup, which doesn't make it a calorie friendly drink for me. It also isn't going to be available in Canada anytime in the near future - which was my whole point...LOL Lybbe 250/233/150 Make every day count. |
