Another day with 30 mintues on the treadmill and a very short bike ride (6
miles). It was CPR training and graduation for the bike, hike and horse
volunteer patrol groups. I guess I did get a little upper body workout
doing the CPRg

Well today was the day of my 10k race in Leeds West Yorkshire. My goal time
qas 1hour 10minutes my actual time was 1hour 9mins & 56 seconds, I am
absolutely ecstatic.

I have now signed up for another 1k race in June along with 5 k also looking
at half marathon for October time now ;-)

Not bad considering a year a go I couldn't run 100metres without gasping for
breath.

I did get some strange looks from spectators when they saw a 200pounds guy
making good progress, also I think put a few looks of shame ;-)

Kindest regards

Congratulations on the run. I wouldn't pay too much attention to those
spectators - after all they were *just* spectators and you were a
participant

Hi Beverley

I don't think I explained that correctly. The spectators where looking
sheepish at something they knew they where capable of but but couldn't be
bothered.

I felt fantastic, one of the most rewarding things I have ever done ;-)

Still grinning ear to ear :-)

That's one of the cool things about bike riding -- there is actually a
Clydesdale designation ;-)
