Default Carb blockers work?

Hi folks,

I ran into some pill called "carb blocker" on Ebay. They claim
the pill is made of White kidney extract which absorbs an enzyme
that breaks starch-carbs into sugar; hence, the starch passes
through your system undigested.

My question is: If I am in Ketosis and take this pill, will I stay
in ketosis after I eat a starchy meal?

Anyone has tried this carb blockers? (One example product: Extreme Carb
Blocker).

Do they work? Or yet another dollar absorber?

J.

No, they don't work. They work in test tubes, but they just get digested by
the stomach before they can block any starches.

This post and your other one about "impact carbs" makes me wonder if you
want to be sucessful on a low-carb diet without actually having to change
the way you eat. Well, the bad news is, you can't. But the good news is,
changing to a low-carb way of eating will probably be easier than you
think. It was for me, and for many other people here. I resisted trying
it for a long time even though my dad was losing weight doing low-carb,
because I thought I just could not live without my carby foods, pasta
especially. But after a while I found I didn't even want it anymore. The
unprocessed foods I eat now are so much better. Even though I've been
having a problem with eating too much food recently since I quit smoking,
it's still all low-carb food. Even if someone came out with actual, real,
no bull**** low-carb versions of my favorite high-carb foods from the past,
I still would not want them.

Luna is quite correct.

I wasted some months with "Gimmicks" and easy ways to have my cake and
eat it too -- and somehow lose weight with an altered version of Atkins
low carb.

It was a waste of time and money.

an easy way to master mathematics.

"There is no Royal Road to weight loss".

But you can get rich with the hopes and wishes and money of those who
want the "Royal Road" in a pill or bottle.

I tried them before I started the low carbing, and for some reason, I always
got a bladder infection when I tried the carb blocking tablets, what else is
in them that would cause that I do not know. Sticking with the low carb
lifestyle is best, eaisest n cheapest.
