Good luck, Boemsi, I know how hard traveling and keeping up with the WOE is
from recent experience! (We had a week long holiday, ate at restaurants both lunches and dinners 90% of the time, and although we did a lot of walking/swimming, I came back 1.5 kg (cca 3.3 lbs) heavier than I was when we left. I also kept a food log nearby and wrote everything down religiously. BUT: today, a week after we came back, I weighed exact same weight as I was when we left, which leads me to think most of that "gain" was actually water; my swimming suit (bought a month ago, good quality, i.e. not the type to stretch and stay stretched) is a loose, and I "think" some of the clothes fit me better; & we had a terrific time. So, all in all, even if you put on a few pounds, it doesn't mean that you haven't lost inches!) Congratulations on another lb coming off! You are doing a wonderful job! Elly breastfeeding mom of a 10mo, following the balanced low carb WOE Mid July 2004: 195.8 / 184.8 / mini-goal by October 11th: 173.8 to 171.6 lbs sometime in the (distant) futu 150 lbs "Boemsi" ha scritto nel messaggio news It seems my biggest challenge is coming up, for the next five weeks I will be travelling and not be able to cook my own meals for almost half that time. My arrangements to keep up with the new WOL/WOE: keeping a diary of what I eat and my work-outs, and carry that with me everywhere I go. This has been the key to my success so far, I plan to do that for a long time to come. I also bought a book with Pilates exercises. I have a DVD, so I know what it should look like, and the book has a selection of longer and shorter routines which can easily be done in any hotel room. My cardio workouts will suffer somewhat, although I will have access to my bike again for two weeks and plan to do a lot of biking. At the moment my weight loss has slowed down somewhat, but another lb came off this weekend (YAY!!). My minimum goal is to keep this weight, but I am planning to loose at least another 5lb while I am away. I will check back in mid-october and let you know what happened. Best of luck to all of you! -- -- Boemsi 207 - 191 - 180 |
