I recently started the Weight Watchers program and I am wondering if it is
common to get shaky or jittery right after joining the program? I eat all my
target points every day and I even use some of my flex points on some days.
But in the afternoon or early evening, I will start to get uncontrollably
shaky/jittery and I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this and
what you did to help it go away.

Thanks a lot!

Have you given up coffee/tea, or drastically reduced the amount of sugar you
eat? These sound like withdrawal symtoms of some sort. Try sucking on a
lolly and seeing if that helps temporarily. Otherwise, I'd suggest going to
your doctor to get your blood sugar levels checked.

Sometimes that means your protein levels are too low and you need to have a
little something to improve it. I know when I get like that and it rarely
happens, I normally will have a glass of milk or a little bit of cheese and
it gets better.

You might want to use a few more flex points for a bit. Just to see if it
is the dietary changes. It could also be just plain old nerves from
changing your habits. It is a big change, or it was for me.

Yes, being on WW has caused me to drastically reduce the amount of sugar I
eat. Now that I think about it, whenever I feel this way, I do have really
bad cravings for candy, cakes and sodas! I'll try your suggestion and see if
it helps.
