Default Thinking of doing Atkins

Hello everyone

It's January, it's diet time. Only this time, I'm really going to give it a
proper go.

I'm currently learning about the introduction phase of the Atkins diet. I'm
curious to know your experiences before I begin - what breakfasts, lunches
and evening meals you had during the time; what snacks you ate etc.

Thank you!

Sal

Induction

6-8 ounces protein each meal
3-4 ounces cheese a day
unlimited fats
1-2 tablespoons cream
20 gms carb a day from veggies
NO NUTS!

SNACK IDEAS
Induction Snacks:
- pork rinds (Try drizzling melted butter on them and sprinkle w/a
cinnamon & Splenda mixture)
- cheese chips [microwave until melted and slightly brown on edges, let
them cool and use to dip sour cream]
- pepperoni slices [microwave until crisp, and use to dip sour cream]
- meat roll-ups [slice of meat, cheese/mayo - rolled together, cream
cheese also works well]
- celery with cream cheese filling
- Sugar Free Jello w/whipped cream [fresh, not cool-whip]
- deviled eggs
- low carb veggies w/dip
After induction:
- nuts [can be trigger food, easy to eat too many]
- sunflower seeds
- a few raspberries, blueberries or strawberries (Watch your carbs)

Thats what Ive got for you!

My very strong suggestion is buy the book. Its well worth the price (well
under $10 in paperback) and contains a lot of information you just are not
going to get here in a 10 line reply.
