Default How to Boil eggs (tip)

We have chickens , so fresher eggs = harder to peel. I've found a trick to
it. Add cooking oil and salt to the water with the eggs. They almost jump
out of the shell. To anyone who has ended up with half an egg after peeling
this is for you .

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to try it. Much easier than my newest
method.

I found Julia Child's instructions last week for the perfect hard
boiled egg and it has a lot of steps to it: boil 17 minutes, plunge
into ice water for 2 minutes, boil again for 10 seconds, back into the
ice water for 15-20 minutes. I have to admit they were perfect, peeled
easily, and the yellow didn't turn green but it's a bit much just for
hard boiled eggs.
