Whoa-oa-oa! I feel good, I knew that I would, now
I feel good, I knew that I would, now So good, so good, I lost 2.8 lbs (apologies to the Godfather of Soul, James Brown) My current weight: 176.0 lbs Weight change since my last recorded weight: -2.8 lbs Total weight change to date: -56.0 lbs With today's WI, I'm now 1 lb away from a reduction in my daily points target (24 to 22). Starting today, I'll begin making the adjustment by lowering my current daily points by one point to 23. That shouldn't be too hard, right? I'm off now to get my activity points for the day. While it's sunny this morning and the ground is free of white stuff, I'll be raking leaves before the 70% chance of snow starts falling later today and tonight. We could have up to one inch accumulation by morning. A little early in the season for snow but not unusual. The Halloween Blizzard of 1991 is the #3 weather event in Minnesota. The snow started on Halloween afternoon, and by the end of the 3-day storm, Minneapolis had a record 28.4 inches. -- Prairie Roots week 36: 232/176/3rd 10% 169/WW goal 145 -- lost 56 lbs NYNY wk 4: 180.8/176/168.6 next mini-goal: 174.8 (to weigh less than 175) 10% goal: 1-May-2003 | 2nd 10% goal: 2-Aug-2003 | started WW 22-Feb-2003 5'4" | 49 | F |

G R E A T! That is really terrific.
Oh, oh, another point drop - yes, you will be able to do it. ONE point is not very much. And you can probably earn it shoveling EITHER leaves of snow (G) I was already out raking leaves this morning, too. (only 8:52am now). I try getting them out of the gutter before they get gloppy from rain (or our predicted snow, too) and before they get too much road grime/oil. Again, Congratulations. You have your own snow blower - now, I'm jealous.
I purchased from Costco a leaf blower a few years back. It was too noisy and too smelly and too heavy. Besides the oak leaves are too curly and get stuff in the grass and will not blow easily. So it has been manual except for that one attempt back then. TEN oak trees along the parking strips and then a bunch of fruit trees, small maples, willow in the back yard. I have not started MOVING them yet. Just getting them out of the street. Moving will entail much stuffing into the trash can, lifting and dragging that to the compost pile which is half a flight up from the street, back down, over and over and over and ...... After all, I live in the city so I have only from my front door to the sidewalk, the sidewalk, a path across the front yard for the mail carrier, a path from the backyard to the alley, and my off-street alley parking area. No long driveways like folks in the suburbs. But several times a year we get snow falls of 3" or more, which is just too heavy to lift later in the winter when the snow is already piled 2' and higher. After a while, the only place to put the snow is in the middle of my yard, which is when my snow blower is a back saver. Not all of my neighbors have snow blowers, and some of my neighbors are quite elderly. Often, when I'm the first one out doing snow removal, I'll clear the entire length of sidewalk from street corner to street. Somewhere inside of me is a good person, which I hope is being duly noted in the Book of Life. g I purchased from Costco a leaf blower a few years back. It was too noisy and too smelly and too heavy. Thanks, SuzyQ! I'm accepting that some WIs are better than others. I'm
glad this was one of the better WIs. I reached my mini-goal to have lost 55 lbs overall. There are now *only* 31 lbs between me and my WW goal!
