Default Looking for diet PDA software or websites

Forgive me if this message is not on topic in some boards and I was not
aware of it.

I am trying hard to lose weight, lower my blood sugar level, and
cholesteral intake. I own a Palm Zire 72, and was thinking that it
could help. It syncs with a macintosh laptop running OSX. I know that
some of you that respond to this post will give me vague answers, or
tell me info I already know, so let me be clear what I need the software
for.

I need some good software that not only has a huge food database, but is
easy to use, and can sync its food log, charts, and other detailed info
with my Mac laptop. I want it to give me detailed info on the sodas I
drink per week, and other vital information for someone with high blood
sugar. No I am not diabetec, but if I continue at the high candy
eating, soda drinking, and such I may one day end up one.

Please NOTE that I'd appreciate to hear from people with first hand
experience using this software for their Palm os device or PocketPC. I
do not know if such software would be of value and I was not encouraged
to go this route by any doctors, so it might help to give such a option
a free trial.

Thank you!

John

PS- Also if anyone knows of any *quality* diet or health websites let
me know. I am aware of WebMD, but find its interface clunky. A few
months ago I ran into a very well designed and quality health diet
website, but cant remember the address or name.

Have a look at the diabetes support sites - they have listings and links
and reviews related to diet software

try looking at our welcome notice, and I think fitday has the nutrition
information you want, not sure about any of the rest of it, perhaps cut down
the sodas might help, my brother is a horridly brittle diabetic, let me
assure you that is no fun way to live, Lee

James 1:4
James 5:11
Galatian 6:9
Just trust in Him and eat less and excersise more.
He will provide.
Use your points tracker from Weight Watcher meetings and it will work
better then any PDA program.
I've tried many PDA programs with no success, then I turned it over to
the Lord and became obedient .
Weight Watchers will allow a change in habits that caused weight gain.
Blood sugar readings will go down with excersise and as little as a 10%
weight loss.
TGBTG.

There is no such thing as a brittle diabetic, just a diabetic in need of a
new health care team and a modern diet and insulin regimen.

What a trollish thing to say, how arrogant of you to assume to know a
person's entire medical history, what degree in medicine do you have that
would allow you to make such a sweeping diagnosis not knowing any of the
particulars of his sutiation or the regimens of treatments he has
instituted, if you are such a medical wiz perhaps I am not blind and just
need the proper operation, not that the first 18 were correct or saved my
sight for twenty years, Lee

Brittle diabetes is an obsolete diagnosis, if your brother's doctor uses
that word, it's time to find a new doctor.
