My Progress
Hi everybody,
I just realized that I hadn't posted any progress since I posted my "starting over" thread. I haven't been successful with sticking to Induction completely, but I have stayed well under 30 carbs/day with a few days actually around 10. I'm not stressing about that, though, since I have lost weight anyway. It's not as fast as when I stick with Induction to the letter, but I fell better and less deprived so I think I'm more likely to stick with this. I've been doing this for a little over 2 weeks now and have lost 7 pounds. This is not as fast as the 13 I lost in the first week last time, but then, I didn't stay on it for very long that time, either I'm feeling much better now, and I even have a friend that is watching her carbs as well. She's not doing Atkins, but she is still willing to make sure that wherever we eat dinner is low-carb friendly so I don't blow it. And my hubby is helping out, too, by bringing home things that I can eat. On a side note, he found some Soy chocolate milk that has 1 net carb per serving (5 total, 4 fiber) that is sweetened with sucralose. I don't know if I just really wanted something chocolate or if my milk craving was that bad, but I thought it tasted really really good. Anyway, just wanted to post my progress. It helps when the scale doesn't move for a few days to take a look at the whole picture and write it down. Thanks for reading. Amanda -- 5'3" & 22y/0 225/218/130 |
