Default Day 9 and still 8 pounds gone

257/249/200
June 25, 2009

Day 9 and still 8 pounds gone. I got on my scales this morning and saw
my indicator was no lower than 249. (Actually, the indicator probably
would have gone to several pounds higher if I moved it to fully
reflect today’s weight, but in my system I don’t do that. I know that
if I eat few enough calories, the indicator will HAVE to go lower in
the near future.)

Went up my hill again last evening, and probably the fastest of the
last 11days I have been doing this. Also, very tiring and sweat-
producing. I haven’t had much sleep over the last several days and
that probably affected my journey up. Gliding down is always fun.

I had a few more calories yesterday than I should have, maybe about
1500 in total and I hope to get more in line with a 1000 today.

No loss but I am still chugging on! I hope everyone else meets her/his
health needs today!

Yours,

Caleb

Water weight?

All of it? Every last ounce?

I don't think so. Fewer calories and then go out go out means in you
at a deficit for calories. Don't you think so? Of have you suspended
the laws of physics?

Cale

Oops! Dictations not so good! Although I was an english major in
college, etc.

let me type this time.

All of it? every last ounce?

I don't think so. Fewer calories in than go out means you are at a
deficit for calories.

Yadda, yadda, yadda.

The most important point is, to lose weight and be healthier, you
have to take in fewer calories than you expend. And also, it is not
easy, with many people hiding the truth from you, telling you things
that are not true, focusing on the trivia, etc.

Come along with me for the next 100 days plus and let's see how it
works.

Today i probably had about 1700 calories, too much, but far, far
better than a month ago. I'm about 250 pounds, a male who likes not to
exercise. I'm far, far luckier than women in my weight situation. I
can eat fewer calories and lose more weight. Life is not fair in many
ways, but the basic equation is this--fewer calories and then you need
to maintain your weight and you will lose weight. More calories, and
you'll gain weight. Almost everything else is noise.

Except for a variety of facts people do not tell you.

Hunger is increased by giving in. It is like a fire. To feed it
means that it will increase. On the other hand, to go without it
means that your hunger will decrease over time.

My hourly mantra is this--"On day nine of my diet, I've lost 8 pounds
and I feel great! I know that in 100 days, if I stick to my diet (of
1000 calories a day), I will lose 50 pounds. I know that hunger is
like a fire, and if I feed it it will grow. But if I do not feed it,
hunger will not control me. I will befar healthier, weigh less, be
much more comfortable, and will reach the goals I want to reach. Also,
I will reach my goals once again and be glad that I made the journey,
and proud of myself for being able to do so."

Don't you want everyone to reach their health goals?

Yours,

Caleb
