Nut flours supplier
I was browsing the web, and I found a bunch of nut flours
at http://www.nuts4u.com They were about $4.95 per pound, but I don't know how much they charge for shipping. They also had some LC mixes for brownies, cookies, and pancakes as well as some coatings and baking mixes. They also had very good prices on nuts. I haven't tried them, so I don't know how good they are (both the mixes and the supplier). Shipping often makes buying online less attractive for small quantities. I thought some of you might want to check them out. Disclaimer: I have no relationship with them. These flours are delicious. A friend and I bought one of each in a
went-nowhere effort to invent a great low-carb dessert and get rich. We came up with any number of cookies that fell apart, but the crumbs were excellent. Now I use them for crusts and to mix with ricotta or cream cheese for cheesecake. Also got coconut which I just use for occasional flavoring. The macadamia is particularly inspiring. If you've got a more refined grasp of baking chemistry than I do, you'll be able to do some damage. I have thought about using them for fried chicken, but haven't taken the plunge so who knows. Nut flours supplier
Are these superior to what you get of you just grind up nuts to
not-paste-yet stage in a coffee/spice grinder? I'm just curious because I've never worked with nut flours and I'd like to give 'em a go. Dawn I don't know about nuts4u, but Bob's Red Mill Almond Meal/Flour is far superior to grinding my own almonds. Much finer than I could grind on my own. If you prefer to grind your own nuts, here's a trick to keep them from turning into nut butter. Use 1 tablespoon of whey or soy powder with the nuts. Yvonne |

Nut flours supplier
They have more of a, well, flour quality. When I just use a food processor,
I'm lucky if I don't end up with nut butter. Hooper "Dawn Taylor" wrote in message ...
