Default Food & Exercise -- 12/12/2003

Food:

7:30 (home): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3 slices
melted f/f cheese

10:30 (home): 12 mini carrots

12:30 (driving to gym): energy bar

6:45 -- 9:30 (Christmas party): 4 cubes swiss cheese; a handful of
grapes; 2 small roast beef sandwiches -- each around 1 1/4 oz. beef on
small buttered dinner roll; 2 small lamb shank pieces; 1 piece
chocolate cake; 1 mini cannoli; 10 oz. wine

Totals: 1828 calories (214 from wine), 63g fat (31%), 163g carbs
(36%), 107g protein (23%)

1:00 p.m. -- Exercise:

Bench: 1x10x45; 1x5x65; 1x5x85; 1x2x105; 1x1x115; 1x1x125; 3x1x135
(With help from Tom on the 115s and higher. My shoulder still can't
handle the bottom few inches.)

Cross-training:

a) Treadmill: 1 minute walk; 3 minutes run @ 4.6 mph
b) Push-ups from knees: 15
c) Travel about 30 feet doing 2 walking lunges followed by 1 in-place
squat, repeating that pattern
d) Treadmill: 3 minutes run @ 4.8
e) With light rubber tube: 10 overhead presses, 10 lateral raises, 10
front raises
f) Push-ups from knees: 10
g) Treadmill: 3 minutes run @ 4.8
h) Jump onto and off 12-inch step: 10 times
i) Push-ups from knees: 10
j) Treadmill: 3 minutes run @ 4.8

Are you stalled? Or is this the crawl of approaching maintenance? (I'm
losing at the rate of 1 pound a month, and haven't quite worked off

Well, more like the crawl, I guess. I was at 176 for 3 weeks or so,
then went down to 171-172 right before Thanksgiving and have been
there since. What with the eating I've been doing since, especially
this weekend (just back from a party), I'll be content to just
maintain for the holiday season. There's no real hurry, anyway. I'm
pretty happy where I am, but am hoping that over time I'll lose a bit
more.
