Trans-Fat in Nitro-tech Bars?
In article
I should have mentioned that of course I looked at the ingredients list but it contains polysyllabic substances which are meaningless to me. Seems to contain everything but mouse droppings and bellybutton lint! , Al wrote: did you look at the ingredients list? Should be able to figure it out by that. Al. wrote in message ... Trans-Fat in Nitro-tech Bars?
LOL! Actually, these are one of the very few protein bars my son WILL eat. They
aren't really what I would consider point friendly, but since he isn't doing ww - they work for him. He does a lot of year round training for baseball, is on college campus and doesn't really like to get up early to have breakfast. I finally convinced him to at least drink some juice and eat the nitrotech bars before working out, gatorade/water during, and at least a decent meal later. They have worked well for him, stopped the dizziness and weakness symptoms he suffered from last year. They must be fairly popular, I have had to resort to buying by the case online .. our stores can't seem to keep them on the shelves. Simply look for the words "hydrogenated" or "partially hydrogenated" in
front of particular oils. Those are trans fats. Al. wrote in message ... As a rule of thumb, you can reasonably expect the various
energy/protein/nutrition bars to contain trans fats; typically these bars are made so they can sit on store shelves for a year or more. Look for hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated in the ingredients. wrote in message ... I posted this query about a month ago but not being a biochemist , I didn't understand the replies.
