Default An ASD Meeting

Tonight I had the pleasure of meeting Chris IRL. I met her at her hotel and
we headed across the street to a local mall for dinner, shopping, talking,
shopping, talking..... It was a very enjoyable evening and I hope we get to
do this again in the future.

I had no problem recognizing her as she looks just like her pictures. She
looks absolutely fabulous for someone who has lost half her body weight.
Had I not seen pictures of her heavier days I never would have guessed she
had ever been anything but a slim person.

I don't know about Chris but throat is a little dry from all the talking we
did tonightg

Well, my throat has held up just fine -- I'm used to talking a lot :-).
But I also had a wonderful time -- it was great to meet Beverly! She
also looks wonderful -- really fit (and pretty too :-) ).

And Beverly, the new warm jammies I bought were much appreciated in my
chilly hotel room :-).
Chris (who's wondering if it ever stops raining in Dayton!)

I really think we get more rain in the winter months than we do in the
summer. In the summer there is an old saying around the area - "If you
don't like the weather, just wait a couple hours and it will change". The
rainfall in December usually isn't too heavy on any particular day - just a
steady drizzle all month long!

I just sent an email with some restaurants in the area you and your
co-workers might enjoy.

For those lulls between your auditing. A little local history events after
the 1913 flood and the beginning of the current Five Rivers MetroPark system
(my favorite place to do volunteer work). Just more evidence that it rains
a lot around hereg

I'm glad you had a nice time, Beverly and Chris! As it happened, I
encountered two awful traffic jams on the way to Lebanon and ended up
getting there just in time -- so I was glad that I didn't try to make it
over to Dayton -- as it happened, I wouldn't have been able to meet up.
Reminds me to never ever ever try to get on the 270 loop at rush hour --
ugh! It took me 5.5 hours to get there, and 4 to get home! It would have
been nice to meet up, but I'm sure we'll have another chance -- I will keep
those bike trails in mind, Bev -- and please do let me know if you ever get
over this way for the Cuyahoga trail!

Thankfully I don't have to travel the 270 loop too often. Most trips
through Columbus I simply stay on 70 and travel through downtown area. Of
course, everyone avoided the 270 loop earlier this yearg

I'm hoping to get a chance to ride the Cuyahoga trail next summer. I'll
certainly be in touch.

I'm planning on using the Little Miami trail to do my first century next
summer - want to join me??

Hi Mary!

Since my ability to read the newsgroup in Dayton was a bit spotty --
just doing it through Google, which I'm not used to -- I didn't see
that you'd thought about possibly being able to join us. I wish you
had been able to; I'd love to meet you sometime! Maybe next time I'm
in Dayton!
