Well, damn, Cubit, don't ever accuse me of being non-inspiring.

Well,

I haven't been here and now I am, back sorta. Idling mostly.. I'm
struggling with my weight and waiting for myself to pull myself up by
the bootstraps and get back on track. So.. anything inspiring would be
helpful.

Bev, get a clue. You know better. The idea that you can overconsume then
ride it off, or that you properly consumed and just didn't get your
exercise in is horse****.

We humans with our lifestyles cannot count on exercise for cal burn.
Face the truth.

Eat 2 pounds or less a day, you will even out you weight over time.

Assassinate that dimwit "determined"?

I just arrived back on the scene but recall a member named Betsy from
years ago who posted as "Determined." Is this the same person?
"Determined" came in for a lot of cristicsm back then.

Have no clue but if the numbed skull fits, if it walks like a determined
duck, if, ok you get it.

Are you saying "Mu has no clue?' Yes some things have not changed.

Bev, how are you doing? I see that smiley at the end of your post. Don't
try to get on my good side, you know, I don't have one

Everyone has a good side, Mu....you just have to look for it. Granted
we may have to look a little harder for some but it's still there.

You're right but once I get back on that bike and start hauling these
extra pounds up hills I'll get serious and give up those "too often
consumed" desserts. When you go from 100 miles a week on the bike to
zero miles, fail to exercise regularly over the winter and start
eating dessert each day.....well we know where the extra pounds came
from

you dimwitted old goat. Why can't you give people who change their screen

Of all people, Mu The Trainer is not against exercise. I think of
exercise in Mu Life like, er, going to the crapper. It's natural but
better planned lol Mu make funny!

Bev, you won't exercise for life in that manner. You won't exercise in
any manner without injury, recovery, time off - it's the nature of being
human and getting along in age.

Quit using exercise as a distraction, it's not going to work. You have
to eal straight up with the facts and the facts are that you see food as
best buddy, a companion, a time in each day to consume, a ritual.

Food was given to us to sustain us not to entertain us (except when we
need to eat and can enjoy doing so).

Cubit, Usenet history is chock full of people who have tried to disown
the Two Pound Diet (2PD) saying "Well I can eat two pounds of insert
chocolate, cement, fat, frogs, etc and never gain weight? Hogwash!"

The truth is that you or anyone else can cut their consumption gradually
to 2PD and the weight will come off and stay off.

You will get tired of almonds, candy, or whatever. Fat content will
moderate itself.
