Hi everyone,
Today makes one week since we joined the gym. My husband and I have
really enjoyed it so far! We plan to work out 5 days per week (cardio 5 x
per week, and weight training 3 x per week). It has gone very well so far.
I have some soreness, but the hot tub following the workout has been
wonderful to help with this. I do laps in the pool last, and this is very
refreshing to follow the hot tub with! I'm really glad we decided to
join!!! I am starting to notice some small changes in how I feel about
myself already. My energy level is beginning to increase again, and I am
enjoying a higher level of activity. So, I am off to a fairly good start by
the feel of things. There has been no change at all on the scales yet, but
then again it has only been one week. It takes time when building muscle!

Congrats!
Try to keep in mind your results on the scale might not reflect how well
you're doing- measure yourself. I lost a few inches all over last month (I
weigh in/measure up at Curves once a month) and dropped a jean size but only
saw a 2 pound weight loss overall. Muscle weighs more, ya know. Don't let
it discourage you.

Oh, I should mention I bike 4 times a week for no more than 2 hours and no
less than an hour at a time, with one day a week playing tennis. 5'4", F,
31" waist, 145 currently. (started ay 155 and a 34 inch waist.)
