I see. Yes, that makes sense.

Well, I haven't measured myself exactly, but I did need to buy that
new suit a week or so ago and my waist size was holding steady at a
comfortable 36".

I have noticed that a lot of the "slag" of loose skin I was worried
about a few months ago has started to obviously draw in and there is
much less of that now, which is a positive trend. Also, I've been
using the Bullworker every day for months now and I notice a lot more
muscle tone in my upper body. I think I even saw a hint of an ab the
other day.

I am cautiously happy to report that at this point, it appears I will not
have an "apron" hanging down. At 52, I was very worried about that, but I
have lost an amazing 11 inches from the pooch below my belly button, and I
now have NO chafing under there. Bring on the summer heat!!

Default Weight creeping up! Danger!

Well, I'm happy to report that I'm down to 81.0 again. That's after my
weight went up to as high as 83.8 just two days ago.

I changed the following:

1. Started being extra careful in counting things.

2. I decided to knock-off eating some of the snacks I've been eating
daily. Even though I was counting the calories on the packages
religiously, they were mostly highly-processed foods and very high in
carbs and probably high in glycemic index.

Although I believe "a calorie is a calorie", I have always said that
there are certain appetite "trigger" foods and those trigger foods are
all high carb foods. So I basically stopped eating them for a couple
of days.

Hint: If you feel yourself craving multiple packages of any snack in a
single day, that snack is probably not good for you! (A sad, but
honest commentary on the way the universe is built.)

I could immediately feel (1) my appetite just go way down and (2) my
weight "drain" out of me.

So obviously a lot of this recent weight gain was fluid retention
brought on by these snacks and I feel much better and lighter now.

My main limit remains calories, but I think I will try to be more
conscious of "trigger" foods and avoid them as much as possible from
now on.

and that is a good learning for you... remember, all food quality is NOT
equal and how your body treats a carb or salt may vary vastly from the guy
next to you, good ending, Lee

It is good that you got this under control as quickly as you did.
Congratulations!

I think you have found the "secret" of the core plan and the benefits of not
eating processed foods.

My plan for the next 2 weeks is to get back to core way of eating. I will
continue to count points but will eliminate my 2-pt bars and chemical filled
yogurt and pudding. Back to basics sometimes works.
