It was a decent chocolate flavor - not wonderful, but good enough that I went back to buy another half gallon this week. The local Smith's was all out of it in one week - now I'll be hunting the grocery store shelves.... Has anyone found it at Walmart yet? Yep, last week (Super Wal-Mart in Salem, NH). Em hehe. I MAY be able to get there next Saturday after I go to a conference in Nashua. Don't clean the store out you guys. If I am REALLY lucky, I'll also be able to get to Amherst, NH, but I am afraid the store there may close before I can get there. -- Jean B. |

I'd guess that the Amherst Super Wal-mart would be closer to Nashua than the Salem one would be. (I've never been to the Amherst one, so I don't know their hours, but the Salem one is open 24 hours.) And right down the street from the Amherst one is a store called Low-Carb Heaven -- you might be interested in that. It's kind of expensive, but worth browsing around in. Em |

I didn't even know there was a Super-Walmart in Amherst! That's even better, since I want to try to get to Low-Carb Heaven. I wonder what THEIR hours are. -- Jean B. |

Thank you so much! When I typed Low Carb Heaven into Netscape, it did not come up with the url. (And I forgot to try it as a .com.) I hope I can get out of the conference and there ere it closes!!!! -- Jean B. |

BREYERS LOW CARB ICE CREAM
Bob M wrote in message ...
While I love ice cream, I'm not so sure that I want to go buying a quart or half gallon of ice cream, even if it is low carb. Even a pint would mean that I'd eat the whole thing. I think I'd rather go to a local "real" ice cream store and get one or two scoops. I get my fill of it, I go home and don't have another 1,000 calories in the freezer calling my name. There you go, counting calories instead of carbs. Tsk. Tsk. I made Myra's cheesecake, and I ate way too much. Each piece had about 500 calories, and they were very small pieces. I might continue to make my own ice cream, and package it in small containers (which are kept in the freezer in the basement). Now, I live with roommates, who eat all the ice cream. When I move out by myself, I'll have to have some method of not eating too much. Well, then buy the LC ice cream, eat two scoops, and leave it in your freezer where your roommates will polish it off. This stuff sounds great to me. FINALLY, an NSA ice cream that is full fat. --Bryan 198/152/155 |

BREYERS LOW CARB ICE CREAM
Has anyone from the NG bought the CARB SMART ice cream in TN? I am having
difficulty finding low-carb products in this state. I guess I got spoiled in Michigan. To everyone who has tasted the ice cream, does it compare to regular Breyers Ice Cream? I can tell you that the Carb Smart version is excellent. Rich, creamy, smooth, by far the best LC ice cream. If you didn't know it was LC, you would never be able to tell.
