Default Thursday

Breakfast: 1 ounce cheese, coffee, 1 T. cream
Snack: 2 oz. pepperoni, coffee (ps - all coffee is decaf, and I do try
to keep it at a minimum - was out yesterday a.m.)
Lunch: 4 oz. leftover roast beef, 2 T. mayo, 1.5 c. broccoli
Snack: 6 oz. hamburger patties, 2 oz. cheddar, 2 T. mayo, 1 dill pickle
Dinner: 2 boiled eggs, deviled, 1 c. lettuce, olive oil and vinegar
dressing

water, water, water, water, water

A little better - the "Snack" was at 2:00, just before I left for work,
and the "Dinner" was at 9:30 when I got back (early - had my final
student blow me off.)

Exercise: 30 minute brisk walk in the mall w/o weights, 20 minute brisk
walk in the mall with the weight of new purchases (oops). Retail
therapy - including a great new hot-pink sweater.

7 1/2 hours without eating is long. Atkins suggest never going 6 hours
without eating something. (slowed metabolism concept I think, but also
letting hunger build/starvation-body may react). Think about rolling
up the roast beef and cheese into a finger snack. Tossed in ziploc. Or
use a vegetable that you can eat with a dip in a tiny tupperware
container (celery and tuna salad). Pork rinds. Sliced Pepperoni &
cheddar. Refrigeration can be an issue. I brought my lunch to work and
6 deviled egg halves. I ended up working late (14 hours) and in the
evening every 2-3 hours I had another 2 eggs. It let me control my
appetite while being stuck working on a computer system for 8 hours
straight.

I work long hours too, but on a mail route- today it was a snow storm, so my
day lasted 11 hours. I've gotten accustomed to packing my lunch- usually a
container of tuna salad, and a baggie of cheese. I keep a Atkins shake in
the glove box in case I really need something, but that is rare, A liter of
water, but when your out on the road, ther isn't always a bathroom, so, I'm
sitting here trying to get my water down. My throat was dried out hours ago.
Like you said, you can't always get the break to eat.

I knew today was going to be long, so I had a bigger breakfast- you sleep
for 8 hours a night, so I really wouldnt fret over the longer work day- just
keep prepared.

The cheese you don't have to refrigetate and its a quick snack- It takes
planning, yesterda y was bagging up a supply to grab and go. Could you
manage to pour a drink? If not, then get a snack when able.

Your meal plan needs to work with your lifestyle so you can live with it.
Keep it up, I'm sure you will figure it out.

Diane
