That is great... aren't you glad that you got the trainer now? I am meeting
with mine tonight at 8 Central time.

He thought it was hilarious and turned red. Made for an interesting ice
breaker I guess cause we exchanged a few pleasantries (without the

innuendo)
for the rest of our respective workouts. He was apparently impressed with
my routine. I gave the credit where it was due...to my trainer.

I haven't regretted working with my trainer for a single moment. Joining my
gym and getting into the weights has been a great experience. Tonight at
rock climbing class I took off my sweatshirt and climbed in a sleeveless
t-shirt and received a few nice comments about my arms - which are now
banged, scraped and scratched all to hell thanks to a few good falls.

I'm ready to step up the weight routine and add more to it in order to hit
more of the smaller muscles.

That is awesome, Jenn... I am just working with mine 1x a week now on

upper
body (arms & back). I am making him push me to my limit, trying to get as
strong as I can w/out hurting myself. I do my arms another time during

the
week with hubby to spot me OR on the cable/nautilus machines if he isn't
available. I do lower body 2x a week by myself with no trainer.

What is your ultimate goal in working out with weights? Are you trying to
build your muscles as big as you can, get everything firm, tone up, or all
of the above??

I don't work out with my trainer regularly. He owns the gym and is around
for advice, but I haven't really felt a need to have more one on one time
since he got me started on this current regimen. I'll probably meet with
him again soon to add more exercises since I'm interested in adding some of
the smaller muscle groups to my current routine. I'm doing a full body
routine 3x/week right now.

I didn't really have an ultimate goal besides to add muscle mass and reduce
body fat. I still have no interest in power lifting, but I do like being
stronger and the look of a more muscular physique. The weight training is
also helping me with my whole body image problem that feeds the anorexia.
So, I guess that my ultimate goal hasn't changed. I haven't set any target
numbers because I'd like to just keep going along the way I'm going until
I'm where I want to be.

I like being stronger too. My goal is to take it day by day and never
quit....
