Default "nice set"

I had to share this. Tonight at the gym I was doing a set of flyes. When I
finished and sat up, this guy was sitting on a bench near me and said "nice
set." I was kind of thrown for a minute because I didn't catch on to which
"set" he was referring to so of course the first smartass remark out of my
mouth was "yep, I'm pretty proud of them."

LOL, that's great. I've been happier with my "set" since I bought some
underwire workout bras from www.titlenine.com. :-)

He thought it was hilarious and turned red. Made for an interesting ice
breaker I guess cause we exchanged a few pleasantries (without the innuendo)
for the rest of our respective workouts. He was apparently impressed with
my routine. I gave the credit where it was due...to my trainer.

I'd never have that problem. :{

Although, I would expect him to say "nice rack" not "nice set"...

Well, I wasn't near the squat rack and had been using dumbbells...

Hey, at least you know you are doing something right if your form is
attracting attention - in more ways than one, I'm sure.

It turned out in further conversation (go figure he wanted to keep talking
to me) that he actually was impressed with my routine and my form on the
flys. Tonight I got complements on my incline sit ups & reverse sit ups
from a different guy.

Even better was when I was doing crunches on the ball toward the end and I
rolled way back to get my head down below my abdomen - and fell off the ball
in front of everyone LOL. Deep down I truly am a spaz.

Whether they are admiring your form or your rack - it certainly sounds as
if you are getting hit on, my dear.

The guy on Friday probably was hitting on me, I'll admit - but the one
tonight is a regular and was just being friendly. He talks to anyone who is
around him when he's resting between sets.

If nothing else I can always be counted on for entertainment.

That is awesome, Jenn... I am just working with mine 1x a week now on upper
body (arms & back). I am making him push me to my limit, trying to get as
strong as I can w/out hurting myself. I do my arms another time during the
week with hubby to spot me OR on the cable/nautilus machines if he isn't
available. I do lower body 2x a week by myself with no trainer.

What is your ultimate goal in working out with weights? Are you trying to
build your muscles as big as you can, get everything firm, tone up, or all
of the above??

I haven't regretted working with my trainer for a single moment. Joining

my
gym and getting into the weights has been a great experience. Tonight at
rock climbing class I took off my sweatshirt and climbed in a sleeveless
t-shirt and received a few nice comments about my arms - which are now
banged, scraped and scratched all to hell thanks to a few good falls.

I'm ready to step up the weight routine and add more to it in order to hit
more of the smaller muscles.

Jenn
