Default Plastic Surgery For Loose Skin - on TV Tonight

I just settled the TV on the Discovery Health Channel on a show called Plastic
Surgery: Before And After. I missed the beginning of it, but one of the segments
is about a woman who was about 300 lbs. She had lost half her body weight via
bariatric surgery, but had a pretty severe case of loose skin, so she's having
surgery to correct it. I know some of you are considering or wondering about
this, so this is a heads up -- it will replay at 9pm Pacific (12am Eastern).

Lat week Opra featured a Gal that lost a significant amountof weight that
left fold of Skin all over her body.
She looked like a prune, had the same complexion of an elephant

After Surgery, she looked wonderful!

For some, it might not be an option.

It's sure nice when you can get a TV show to pay for it.. otherwise I think
it's not exactly something most of us would consider part of the family
budget as it's certainly not going to get paid for by medical insurance. And
it's NOT an inexpensive procedure.. sigh

I'm hoping if I go slow enough and exercise enough I won't have a bunch of
extra skin hanging around. I can't afford to buy all the high priced stuff
you guys talk about, let alone have plastic surgery!

sigh I think that after six babies, even if I do go slow, I'm still going
to be stuck with my apron.....

It's got not so much to do with doing it slowly as mainly to age.. skin
loses it's elasticity as you age and there is NOTHING you can do about it.
Exercise is not going to help either... that was the whole point of the one
lady featured in the show. Didn't she look gorgeous in her belly dance
outfit? But take off those clothes and it was unreal.. I can understand why
she had the *body lift* done.. it was an amazing difference but as they said
in the show, there was absolutely nothing she could have ever done to get
rid of it except the surgery.
