Default How to THICKEN Atkins pancake syrup??????

I got some Atkins pancake syrup yesterday, and it taste just fine, but
it's so thin, it's like pouring colored water on your pancakes. YUCK.

Is there some way, maybe something you can add to it, that will
thicken it without adding carbs?

This doesn't thicken it at all, but instead of pouring the syrup over the
pancakes put the amount of syrup you will be eating in a small dish on the
side. Dip the bites of pancake in the syrup as you eat them.

I agree, but if you don't want to waste the money you already spent,
try xanthan or guar gum for thickening (health food store). Use a
powdered sugar dispenser to dust it lightly over the liquid and then
whisk it briskly (to reduce clumping). Wait about 5 mintues for full
effect. The carbs contained in guar is all fiber, and there is a
miniscule amount in xanthan (about 1 per tablespoon, but you won't use
that much to thicken a cup of syrup). Both guar and xanthan are
powerful lowcarb thickeners and you use much less than, say,
cornstarch for the same effect.
